D.C. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan issued an order Tuesday indicating that he'll soon accept "amicus curiae," or "friend of the court" submissions, in the case of former national security adviser Michael Flynn -- essentially allowing the court to use an "ask the audience" lifeline in what has already proved to be an unpredictable and chaotic prosecution.

Seems likely to me that this judge can be considered a Swamp Creature.

Is there a way the AG could remove a judge?
This guy is clearly a political hack.
He’s looking for a way to keep the guilty plea.
2,000 former DOJ lawyers let him know they stand at the ready to file those briefs.
unbelievable. not really, but...
The sullivan judge wants to just go ahead and give out the sentence. He doesnt care he wants to give the libs a chance to bitch and whine to the press. Pathetic. The guy has no business being a judge.
No, only Congress can impeach judges.
The last one I can remember is Alcee Hastings and he is now in Congress.
Black guy appointed by Clinton
Probably worried for his life
Amicius Brief in a criminal case?
Who besides Flynn and the justice department would have standing to file?
This is beyond the pale.
Seems to me that this judge is playing games and denying Flynn justice. The Flynn legal team should immediately appeal to a higher court.
He's looking for an excuse to drop the hammer on Flynn to force Trump into a pardon. It's all politics.
The Supreme Court just shot down a 9th Circus case in which the court allowed this exact thing to happen. Not sure what this court thinks is going to happen, other than grasping at straws.
So, Sullivan has become Pontius Pilate turning to the mob for guidance in destroying an innocent man.
This is pure BS, and I thought Judge Emmet Sullivan was one of the good guys. If the prosecution refuses to prosecute the case any further, then that should be the end of it. Beyond that though if justice is this blind when clear evidence has been produced showing that this was a clear cut case of prosecutorial misconduct from the beginning, then this country is toast and the rule of law no longer exists.
The swamp is alive and well!!
I concur. I’m not a lawyer, but it seems that if the prosecution is withdrawing from the case, then the judge should dismiss the case. Makes one think this judge is eminently qualified to not be a judge.
If this is the best the left has they're in trouble!
