This is why the corona virus scare went crazy.
No one with any weight stood in the way and the snow ball turned into an avalanche.
Normally someone sues, gets lobbyists involved, calls their senator buddies, etc. In this case no one was screaming “stop,” or pushing back, and things went absolutely nuts.
Can I say BOOM?
we all know what is going on.
Glad our carrier groups are back to full strength
He’s setting up for a run for governor.
Excellent
THAT would be interesting. .
“But I suspect he is doing this for the wrong reasons ($$$)”
Please explain how earning money is not proper motivation for his actions.
What makes Musk a nut case?
Give us a couple examples from your brilliant mind.
Not really, more groomed and controlled opposition.
Good!
The guy is a crazy man - saying your stock price is too high and then the stock loses 2% or so. Some of the other stuff is just nuts (lighting up a huge doob-doob on a live show, calling a guy trying to rescue some kids a pedo, etc.).
Not many are are going to tell him what to do. He may be crazy but he’s a crazy $35+ billionaire. He will do what he wants. I mean, he launched car into space!
A clarification -
“lighting up a huge doob-doob on a live show” - which led to him in part making comments about the stock/earnings which got him some attention from the SEC.
Mush is our contemporary Thomas Edison.
Did you know Musk mentioned HCQ as a possible treatment for the Wuhan Flu before Trump did? Hes turning into persona non grata.
If all we have to do was “listen to the experts” then why do we need politicians?
My wife still doesn’t understand. She doesn’t believe that Democrats would shut down just to be petty and lord themselves over their subject. The voters would toss them. I tried to tell her no one is going to replace Nancy Pelosi in her district. “Oh because you think liberals are stupid right?”. I don’t know how to respond to that. I didn’t want to be crude in front of my kids but I thought of saying Nancy Pelosi could commit animal mutilations on live TV and still win. I don’t know if that makes liberals stupid, or just vile.
He is a naturalised citizen, and spoke with authority about the constitutional aspects of this, as he saw it.
There is widespread dscussionabout Gavin Mussolini.
I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking. IIRC, when Trump ordered meat-packing plants to keep running, that provided the owners with immunity from lawsuits. Grocery and drug stores are considered essential services; so they’re allowed to be open. In this case, Musk wants to reopen, despite orders not to do so. It seems to me that that leaves him vulnerable to suits — but, I just don’t know. No doubt his legal team is on the case; so, he might have it covered.
Checked your home page, those mountains are beautiful.
We don’t have mountains in Florida, only Ocean.
We have ocean also but not as nice as FL. I’ve been to Pensacola and the beach just west of there in Alabama; it was a twenty mile drive to the museum there.
