Trump is Not Weakening

Kristy at #Reopen USA posted the following:

“Anyone else feeling like Trump is behaving a bit weak in all this? It's just a question don't attack, I've been a supporter from day one, and continue to be, but I'm surprised at how he is handling the re-opening of the country. Some of these Governors are blowing it big time, and it seems like he doesn't have any tricks up his sleeve, and is kind of supporting the way they are going about it. Just curious what everyone's take is, I wish he was advising with a more diverse group of people. Thoughts?”

I characterize President Trump's behavior as strategic rather than weak. Many Trump supporters are furious that Trump appears to allow Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx to dictate when we reopen America. At the same time, Democrats and fake news media absurdly claim Trump is responsible for thousands of deaths because he ignores science and health experts. Fake news media is flooding the airwaves with their claim that over 100,000 people will die if crazy Trump irresponsibly reopens America. Trump is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I am confident that Trump will courageously press forward, doing what is best for We the People.

Out-of-control Democrats are using coronavirus to overrule our Second Amendment right to bear arms, release dangerous felons, and fund extreme leftist causes. They have selectively implemented unconstitutional restrictions intended to punish Christians and Trump voters. Insane with their newfound power, Democrats are actually considering going door to door to drag people out of their homes.

In a nutshell, coronavirus has liberated Democrats from the restraints of the U.S. Constitution. Folks, we are at war with an evil enemy within, the Democratic Party.

It’s true that Trump is damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. It’s been that way since the start, though, and he should never have let himself be maneuvered into the shut down and then into handing over unlimited powers to the governors.

He needs to stand up and start leading again. People want to get free of this tyranny and get back to work and life, and they’d support him. But he’s got to come out more strongly on this, and damn the torpedoes.

Indeed the President is not weakening. What we are seeing is the culmination of opposition to him throughout all levels of elected and bureaucratic government, plus the media. I admittedly do not like the President’s personality, but I also realize that Trump is the only figure preventing America from descending into full blown socialism.

The 10th Amendment
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

POTUS follows the intent of the US Constitution - something the Democrats don’t understand.

I support Trump and think he has been a fantastic president, but in this case I think his performance has been sorely lacking, and I am not buying into this “4D chess” nonsense. All he had to do was form 2 task forces at the very beginning: let Fancy and Hans Brix intone about the dangers of WuFlu, and follow that by Munchkin and Kudlow talking about the dangers (especially health-related) coming from the shutdown. The American people would then provide the impetus to reopen. The people have only been exposed to fear porn from one side.

Trump's declaring lockdown based on fake models and medical deepstate actors from nih, CDC, fda was incredibly stupid and weak.

Same goes for firing (loyal supporter) general Flynn.

Sessions should have been fired right away when he recused.

in case of job killing h1-bs he is just corrupt.

So by allowing the Democrat Governors and some others to run roughshod over the Constitution, jailing us in our own homes he is strong?

He needs to stand up and start leading again.

Oh stop it! Just stop it already. No President of the United States is a dictator. We have a federal system. We conservatives have stood up for states rights for over 150 years. Really since the Revolutionary War if one has a correct understanding of history. But now we're going to toss all that aside because we're in hyper-partisan times with rabid communists masquerading as "Democrats" fighting us every step of the way? Not happening in my corner of this weary world. I stand with President Trump because he is all that is standing between us and those communists. Let the Dem governors destroy their states. It's up to the citizens of those states to toss them out or keep them. Although we individuals are not powerful, we also are not powerless. Fight the Left, not our own!

“POTUS follows the intent of the US Constitution - something the Democrats don’t understand”.

Indeed.

Something President Trump has become adept at is driving Leftists bat crap crazy and then stepping back and allowing them to expose themselves with their unhinged, unConstitutional beliefs and behaviors for all to see and experience.

Some of these Governors are blowing it big time

I want to comment about this. I've been doing COVID planning and patient care every day for three months.

NOBODY knows what is going to happen with "reopening". Nobody.

It's easy to find out what people WANT to happen. It's easy to find out what people THINK will happen.

But it's an aspect of COVID that there are a lot of things we NEED to know for decisions, from bedside decisions in the moment to long-range planning decisions that simply have no correct answer, because the disease has not revealed enough of itself yet.

Whoever wrote this believes "some of these Governors are blowing it big time". OK, fine.

Some Governors have blown some things, that's a fact. Discharging NYC patients to LTCFs is an example.

But who has blown, or is blowing, the public health response to COVID is completely unknown at this time. Data from Western Europe is complex and confusing. Data from China is meaningless. South Korea, which I and everyone else thought was a good model, is resurging after a relaxation of measures much too strict for ANY American jurisdiction.

The fact is, what the future will bring in the Summer and Fall is completely unknown, and who is or isn't "blowing it" is unknown as well.

He’s kind of boxed in until August 1st.

The last payment of $600 is July 27th.

It is at that point the Givenors will have given everyone permission to go back to living but, under their life modification rules...

Eventually the entertainment industry is going to end their True Believer stance as they look for someway to survive and thrive.

Already we are growing weary of Zoom Conferenced entertainment and the phony singing “synchronized “ with the backup singers and band, along with Autotuned performances that arbTaylor Swift lip sync’d.

Speaking of Taylor Swift, that was a pretty special event when she entertained everyone last week saying “We are all in our living rooms” and my first thought was “I am in a living room, you are in the Taj Mahal “

Tried watching “The Voice” being teleconferences. What a contrived piece of crap that was

Luv’d how some voices got computerized treatment, while others didnt and amazingly 5he musicians were all in sync while Kelly Clarkson sat in her chair sans makeup

It was only entertaining because Blake Shelton takes his work seriously in way that doesn’t take himself seriously and his “Hollaback Girl” homages to Gwen was a riot.

In just a few months the sporting season of baseball and football will be in full swing to crowds of empty seats.

That’s high school, college and professional stadiums empty.

That’s right. The Mega Monolith Tax Payer subsidized venues will ho one hawking beers, popcorn and hotdogs but, the bonds the taxpayers use to foot the bill for these “holes in the ground” will come due one day and the monies will not be there.

Particularly since no concerts will be held to fill those stadiums, which no tax revenue to pay for them.

Levi Stadium? Pfft!!! Where is the prestige in having a structure where only the high priests of sports can enter their “Holy of Holies?”

Not since 1865. Certainly not since 1913.

Strategic. The governors assume all of the risk. Trump stays quiet and governors open or stay closed. Whatever governors do becomes their responsibility, not Trump’s. Those not opening ARE going on have riots and an economic disaster. Those opening are going to have the same number of deaths but no economic disaster or riots. In in the long run, the deaths will be the same, open or closed. The curve was flattened and therefore extended, the SAME number of total deaths are under that curve. Best to open and face the inevitable deaths than KILL the country. (And yes I feel the danger, I’m 78).

Trump used to form the narrative. Now he reacts to it. It’s like a boxer going back on his heels. Not good.
