Tesla CEO Elon Musk lashed out at Alameda County public health officials Saturday on Twitter, claiming his car company will leave California and sue the county over coronavirus lockdown orders that have shuttered its Fremont factory.

“Tesla is filing a lawsuit against Alameda County immediately. The unelected & ignorant ‘Interim Health Officer’ of Alameda is acting contrary to the Governor, the President, our Constitutional freedoms & just plain common sense!” Musk tweeted Saturday morning, referring to Health Officer Dr. Erica Pan.

He continued in another tweet, “Frankly, this is the final straw. Tesla will now move its HQ and future programs to Texas/Nevada immediately. If we even retain Fremont manufacturing activity at all, it will be dependen (sic) on how Tesla is treated in the future. Tesla is the last carmaker left in CA.”

Could this ongoing lockdown hasten others to relocate out of California?

Maybe off topic, but California is facing a $54 billion budget deficit in the next fiscal year, due to the economic downturn caused by our shutdown of the economy. How many businesses and industrial facilities is Newsom willing to risk by keeping California under lock and key? How in the sam hill does he plan to balance his budget anyway?

The article claims that Musk is doing something foolish by moving out of Cal but doesn’t explain why that is not a good move. I lived in Cal in 2004 and have no desire to return.

The Fiscal and Financial Ignorance of Leftists is truly staggering.
Incomprehensible until one realizes that Liberalism is a Mental Disorder. Once this fact is embraced and one stops trying to assess them with logic one can better understand a Leftist and then realize they cannot be reasoned with. They simply must be defeated.

Fed gov will pay for it. Fed reserve, I mean. Yes Trump won’t sign off on that, yes that all goes into the hopper for November. This is another hot potato for, “the economy stupid” mantra the Dems are going to play.

No, he didn’t “threaten”. He said this was the last straw, and he will move.

The only problem is, Elon Musk has made most of his billions from Government grants, and most of his employees will be gun-grabbing babykilling proggies who will flip what State they go to, like parasites destroying their host.

From World Population Review: California has the fifth-highest debt of any state with total liabilities coming out to $287.79 billion. Total assets come out to $250.78 billion, giving California a debt ratio of 107.9%.

California’s debt and liabilities can be broken down into three categories: retirement liabilities, budgetary borrowing, and bond debt. Combining California’s federal, state, and local debt, however, brings California’s debt total to over $1 trillion. According to this report, the debt would cost each resident of California $33,000 or each taxpayer $74,000.

If Tesla leaves, the impact won’t be massive, since CA is a big state. But it is another stone in the growing pile.

“We moved out in 1970.”

About right. We lived there for two years in the late seventies. The crime was hell and we high stepped it back to Arizona.

“Threatens”? Umm no, NicoIdiot is parsing words.

Elon has announced he plans to move the Tesla HQ to Texas and Nevada, as per an Elon tweet, “immediately.” Furthermore, Elon is filing a lawsuit against Alameda County “immediately.”

I lived there only one year. Worked at Apple in Cupertino. I would say it was a better deal for Cal than for me.
