We are drowning in a sea of suspect statistics, many being used selectively by power-hungry politicians — especially COVID statistics.
Suppose an obese alcoholic 80-year-old with hips replaced, diabetes, heart bypass, inflammation, and high blood pressure gets the flu, then pneumonia; tests positive for COVID; and dies. What is recorded as the cause of death?
It depends on who wants the figures and why.
Too often, politics and economics determine the outcome.
Does the hospital or physician get paid more for COVID patients? He will find more.
Are politicians pushing their Orwellian tracking devices or industrialists pushing universal compulsory vaccinations? Do politicians who control the health industry want a declining trend to prove their competence or a rising trend to get more funds or to embarrass other politicians?
At least some medicos in Queensland, Australia have been instructed to put the primary cause of death as COVID-19 and then list contributory causes (diabetes, heart disease, etc.) as second, third, etc. And in places in the U.S., hospitals get a bonus payment for each COVID diagnosis and a bigger one for patients on ventilators. Guess where the trends are rising.
Should we ignore the increase in family violence and suicides and the surge in consumption of alcohol and junk food in locked down homes? What about the excess deaths caused when hospitals were emptied and non-essential surgery canceled to prepare for a COVID surge that never came? That surge was predicted by...computer models.
Now we find that some imported COVID test kits are suspect, making the statistics even more suspect.
Like heat waves and cold snaps, COVID-19 tends kill those about to die and will almost certainly be followed by a reduced mortality rate. Politicians will claim the credit for this.

The ONLY thing that would lead to what they are doing would be a top secret knowledge that this “disease” was engineered to end human life or was a bio weapon. Other than such knowledge, what we are doing is designed to bring down western civilization.
I’ve been saying they have been using polluted data since the beginning. How can you predict anything when your data is basically useless? Obviously science has changed since I took the various lab sciences in college. Maybe they are using the same method they use for global warming. No I will not use “climate change”. I will not let their failed predictions be covered up by a change in narrative. Kind of what they are trying to do with the virus. Lower the curve to save every life.
Figures, in and of themselves, do not lie, but liars can figure, and introduce extraneous logic and even a lot of unfounded assumptions into whatever equations they use to arrive at their “conclusions”, which most times are wildly off mark, or only accidentally end up at the same point as rigorous reasoning and judgment would have.
Correlation does not imply causation.
The classic example of correlation not equaling causation can be found with ice cream and — murder. That is, the rates of violent crime and murder have been known to jump when ice cream sales do. But, presumably, buying ice cream doesn’t turn you into a killer (unless they’re out of your favorite kind?).

It’s been my theory that Trump acted as he did because the intelligence agencies could not assure him that Covid-19 was NOT a bioweapon. Knowing that he’d be crucified if he didn’t act and it turned out the virus was as horrific as the propaganda coming out of China suggested, he had no choice. After realizing it’s not as bad predicted he knows he’ll be crucified for overreacting if he moves too quickly to reopen. It’s the only thing that makes sense.

A buddy used to be an ice cream taster for a major grocery chain (said the job was really torture as he hated the stuff then due to over eating it leading to a heart attack at 42). He said the area plant manager decided Coffee flavor was not widely liked so they stopped making it. Enter the CEO who loved it. He went to his local store and upon not finding any in the freezer asked the store manager why they had none. Manager said I believe we stopped making it due to low sales. On his next visit, the store had coffee again. Seems someone had told the ice cream plant manager, either coffee ice cream or your job. It pays to be king.

I love this one! They point out that Italy has 5mm cases of the flu every year and only 200,000 Covid cases. And then they conveniently forget to mention that with a fatality rate of .1%, the 5 million flu cases kill 5,000 people each year in Italy. But 31,201 people have died of Covid in the last 6 weeks.
