Charlie Kirk: Almost 7 years ago Rand Paul was the ONLY person to vote against James Comey

@charliekirk11

Sometimes one person is just ahead of the rest

Almost 7 years ago, @RandPaul was literally the ONLY person to vote against James Comey for FBI director, while everyone else sang his praises..

----

Monday, July 29, 2013

Sen. Rand Paul is lone dissenter as James Comey confirmed for FBI post

The Senate on Monday approved James B. Comey to become the director of the FBI, giving an overwhelming bipartisan boost of approval to someone who has served presidents of both parties.

Mr. Comey overcame a last-minute objection by Sen. Rand Paul, Kentucky Republican, who was trying to filibuster the nomination in order to force the FBI to explain its drone surveillance policy. Minutes before Monday’s vote Mr. Paul announced he had gotten more details from the FBI and was dropping his blockade effort.

The 93-1 vote — Mr. Paul was the lone “no” vote — makes Mr. Comey the seventh director of the country’s top law enforcement agency, succeeding Robert S. Mueller III, who served for 12 years — the longest tenure since J. Edgar Hoover.

20 years running of DS thugs in charge of the FBI, and we still have one of their ringleaders running the show. I guess when Wray decides to leave we’ll get another hack, maybe Gowdy. With this level of long term corruption it’s no wonder Hannity can make his 99% statements about the FBI, 99.9% corrupt to the core.

Paul was against comey because he didn't like the drone policy, I don't believe that back then, he thought that comey was the dirty cop that he turned out to be.

Regardless of the reason, Rand Paul voted against Comey, my hat is off to him for that vote.

The rank and file FBI men and women are part of the greatest law enforcement agency the world has ever known.

Hannity is deluded. He is desperate for access to the powers that be.

I don’t agree 100% with Rand on everything, but this guy is very much needed in the senate.

His views are strongly with Americans over the government. Some feel his daddy and he are wacko...but they’ve been spot on many times.

Conservative with a strong libertarian sliver. I like!

Hannity’s typical audience member is a 35-40 year old woman with an IQ of 90 who is married to an overpaid law enforcement officer. Once you understand that, then you understand his entire pathetic on-air act.

“Conservative with a strong libertarian sliver. I like!”

Check out his foreign policy positions; particularly since China has come to light. I’m glad you don’t agree 100% with him.

Gross generalizations. Weak thinking. There must be a lot of 35 year old women here on FR. So teachers are underpaid and law enforcement is overpaid? You carry a big broom.

All too often Rand Paul shows himself to be the only person in Washington D.C. who has actually read the United States Constitution.

Agree or disagree with his positions, one thing can be assured, the side Senator Paul takes consistently on any issue is the side that is constitutionally sound.

Of all the sh1t that we know of where the FBI failed . ...... the help things where they got caught, got found out ..... you realize that there are probably 20 to 100 times more things they have gotten away with.
Is there anybody here (excluding Sean Hannity freaks) who thinks otherwise?
Stands to reason that they were used to framing people and there was (is) a club of these CROOKS who knew how to run the system.
Another example of the gross incompetence is The way before 9/11 they told the Minneapolis Agent in Charge that the guys wanting to fly 747s without learning about landing them was a no-risk,low-risk thing.
And Mr “Let me be clear” 0bammy knew whst was going on at FBI during his tenure as P0TUS.

I’m shaking my head at thinking about almost 20 years of FBI “leadership” under Mueller and Comey. How did our country survive?!

Watch Rand Paul on computer/internet privacy. He is (again) the only congress critter standing in the way of a massive collection by the government of personal data in the name of public health.

The plan is to collect SDOH social determinants of health by the government. Social determinants of health are things like owning a gun, owning many guns, as well as being Black or White. And of course collect traditional health information. All to be reviewed and accessible to the government agencies.

The only real protection of privacy will be trying to keep the information from private parties who might try to make money off the information.

And Rand Paul is trying to block progress... progressive use of information for the common good.

Probably some truth to that.

Part of Hannity's problem is he is afraid to criticize the FBI because he fears being labeled as anti-law enforcement.
