WASHINGTON The Justice Departments decision to drop the criminal case against Michael T. Flynn, President Trumps former national security adviser, even though he had twice pleaded guilty to lying to investigators, was extraordinary and had no obvious precedent, a range of criminal law specialists said on Thursday.
Ive been practicing for more time than I care to admit and Ive never seen anything like this, said Julie OSullivan, a former federal prosecutor who now teaches criminal law at Georgetown University.
The move is the latest in a series that the department, under Attorney General William P. Barr, has taken to undermine and dismantle the work of the investigators and prosecutors who scrutinized Russias 2016 election interference operation and its links to people associated with the Trump campaign.

So, when is nanzi’s henchPOS (schiff-face) going to open an investigation into the collusion between Trump and Barr and Flynn to circumvent “justice”?
Must be some serious finger pointing back to a certain anointed one.
No? huh. It's almost like they have an agenda...
Just what does she mean? If she means criminal conduct by the FBI and the DoJ, I agree with her.
How queer, none of them recall Eric Holder dropping the charges against the black panthers who stood armed outside of pulling centers to intimidate voters on election day 2008 after they already pled guilty to the charges but not appearing in court.
These same fools had no problems when the California AG REFUSED to defend Prop 8.
These same fools have NO problem when murderers are released from prison to protect them from covid 19.
These same fools defend sanctuary cities.
These same fools said that the issue was settled when Comey said Hillary’s email server didn’t have any important info on it so they weren’t going to charge her.
But suddenly they demand the rule of law when the evidence plainly displays that an innocent man was railroaded and Barr needs to go?
F’EM!
“The Experts” Strike Again!
I know it’s not precisely the same, but one reason experts in interrogation don’t use torture (aside from the legal issues) is that torture leads to false confessions. People will just say anything to make the pain stop.
Flynn pled guilty? And yet no crime was ever committed? Weird, huh? Maybe he was just trying to stop what amounted to torture?
Except perhaps during J Edger Hoover, we’ve never seen a rogue FBI. They tried a coup d’état. Why isn’t the NYSlimes asking about a trial for treason???
We’ve never seen anything like the childish shoddy reporting of the NYT either.
What a bunch of poorly educated, logic challenged Obama pajama boys and girls.

A Georgetown degree aint worth sh1t if this partisan hack teaches criminal law there.
Clearly it was entrapment with efforts at giving leniency in effort to go after Trump over NOTHING. Convicting ham sandwiches is their game.
Even Hoover didnt stage a coup.
But Bill Ayres is guilty as sin and free as a bird after bombing the Pentagon because of abuse by the FBI.
Put a communist in charge of the FBI and the CIA and why would anyone be surprised.
How about “never seen anything like this” regarding FBI corruption
Whenever the New York Slimes quotes “Experts” you know they’re really just partisan hacks who happen to have jobs that fit whatever narrative the Slimes is pitching...
Interesting - dropping the case is unprecedented, but the malfeasance by the Obama DOJ is not, it appears.
bkmk
“Later in the article the slimes does get to some of Flynn’s side of the argument.”
But the headline, and the first few lines are what the sheep will see. And they’ll think, oh my gosh, orange man IS bad.
