A newlywed couple from California was arrested while on their honeymoon in Hawaii for allegedly not following the states mandatory traveler self-quarantine order, Hawaiis governors office said Friday.
Borice Lepovskiy, 20, and Yuliia Andreichenko, 26, of Citrus Heights were taken into custody on Thursday by special agents from the Hawaii Department of the Attorney General, the governors office said.

Oh, right. So they fly to Hawaii and are in quarantine for 14 days. For most people, their trip would be over with by then and theyd have to fly back to the mainland. Doesnt give them a lot of time to sightsee (or spend money). That's what Maine's lunatic Dem Governor is doing - which basically makes it impossible for any out of state vacationers, and for a destination vacation economy it's self inflicted economic suicide.

Why they are going to war on tourist is beyond me. I just thank God that this idiot did not have them shot. He may still hang them but that is to be seen

Not all pigs are equal. The masters do as they please. The slaves do as they are told. Should the slaves not do as they are told, other slaves, a/k/a, rats will report them to the master.

All disease spreaders need to be arrested—fined $5,000 and put in prison for a year.

Serves them right for traveling to Hawaii.

That’s the message—stay the hell away from Hawaii if you are not willing to act responsibly. Our only protection is to keep the virus out. If it gets in and starts spreading we will be like Wuhan or NYC, with a weak medical system and no real outside help.

I can't see what difference it makes. They weren't going to come out of the room anyway for quite a while if it's like most honeymoons. Somehow the hula takes on a different perspective in that situation. So it would be self quarantine anyway. rwood

Yup - I never thought this would actually become true.

This couple knew there was a 14 day quarantine, and then they just laughed in peoples faces and did what they want.
If you are a foreigner, especially a foreigner travelling when most countries aren’t even taking in people at all, and most flights cancelled, you gotta know the rules where you are going.
And then don’t act all shocked and wounded when they enforce their rules for visitors.
Whether the quarantine is a good idea for hawaii right now is a different discussion.
Yeah boo hoo their honeymoon, well isn’t that on them for deciding to go to on a honeymoon where they would be quarantined for 14 days??

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. ― C. S. Lewis
