Went for a drive today. Some businesses are still taking “social distancing” measures, and some had not reopened, but things seemed pretty normal.
The point is they’re NOT, at least in America.
1. They’re not wearing masks. That’s the number one way to to stop spreading the virus.
2. They’re not social distancing.
3. They’re not refraining from gathering in groups.
So the numbers will just get bigger and bigger as the idiots infect themselves and others.

The numbers say there are 1.1M infected people who have NOT recovered.
Where are they?
If they are home, how do they know they have NOT recovered.
If they are in the hospital, how come the hospitals are so empty.
Flattening the curve in no way is intended to reduce the number infected. Only to spread out the time of the infections. The virus still will run its course and as people interact there will be more infections.
The key is it is overwhelmingly non-fatal to otherwise healthy persons. Only elderly and already sick are at risk of death.
So if you are at high risk stay away from other people. If otherwise healthy get on with life.
The other countries are using HCQ way more than the U.S. We need to protest against the CDC & FDA to stop their pseudo-ban and free up the prescribing of HCQ. The recoveries in other countries are far outpacing ours. The way to open up is increasing the use of HCQ.
Find smarter ways to get work done without too many employees getting sick. Smarter businesses will sell more and get more customers.

number of cases means nothing as it reflects testing shich is variable depending who and what is being tested. People in hospital and dead/lived are all that really matters. other than actual antibody test who had it and then what the death/recovery rates are. it seems the stats are fairly stable 80/20 with about a .1 death rate. like the princess cruise people.

It means not increasing by 10 fold a week stretching to the 10s of millions. It means litterally what it says - that the curve is flat, that the number of new cases is not increase every day. That is what flat means. In fact, the number of new cases is decreasing - which is the whole point of social distancing or whatever you want to call mitigation measures to reduce Rt.
