A Texas park ranger cautioned a group about coronavirus social distancing - only to get pushed into a lake. A recording of the incident shows the Commons Ford Metropolitan Park ranger asking a group gathered on the docks of Lake Austin to disperse because people were not standing six feet apart. The group was unlawfully drinking and smoking in the public park, as well. Just after someone tells the ranger I got you, a man runs up and pushes the ranger into the water. The man fell in as well, but he managed to climb out first and flee. Brandon Hicks, 25, was identified by a number of witnesses as the man who pushed the ranger. Hicks was arrested and charged with attempted assault on a public servant a state felony and damaging the rangers emergency radio, according to court documents seen by FOX 7. Officials say the "intentional and reckless action" by Hicks could have caused the park ranger to hit his head as he fell, becoming unconscious in water deep enough for him to drown. Hicks was in jail Friday with bail set at $7,500. Austin police officer Justin Berry, who arrested Hicks, told the Statesman that people were quick to help the ranger and identify Hicks as the assailant. The patrons of the park actually came to the aid of the park ranger, Berry said. Several people came up to the ranger and apologized for the guys behavior. Thats the Austin we know, and thats the Austin we love.

“Here! Hold Muh Beer!”
It is amazing to see the cowed people on here. Pushing barney fife into the water when he is trying to trample on peoples’ rights is funny... yes he could have hit his head. ... but attempted murder? Ridiculous.
expensive and stupid to do so, but a hero in my book for a day...lol
No because I laughed also!
Ohh well.
Im sure they will over charge him with a bunch of bs. Theres probably a “terrorism” charge somewhere in there.
Are you confused? What does your reply have to do with what I Posted? I would appreciate an explanation.
The government employee thug was violating their God-given right to assembly and free association as guaranteed by the Constitution. They were perfectly within their rights to push that government control freak into the lake. What dont you understand? Just what the hell are you trying to conserve?
I suspect many of us did. Too bad someone snitched on the fellow.
I agree 1000%.
To every fool out there that thinks the government can still feed everybody as they are locked up in our homes you are delusional.
Just remember, if the government can declare your livelihood as nonessential then you as a human being are nonessential. You will be dealt with as life unworthy of life and a useless eater when the food and money run out.
It must have been a Snowflake that invented social distancing
Am I a bad person because I was hoping someone shore side would have decked the punk as he was climbing out of the water?
Heh, I was Social Distancing when Social Distancing wasn’t cool.
Good for him! Government will always stay out of control until it becomes painful for them otherwise.
And I would like to see whoever attempts such an assault to be shot dead............
I say giddyup!
I say giddyup!
“Outrageous. His Bail should be at least $100,000.”
Why, what kind of person are you?
I say giddyup!
But nothing ever happened to the officials who murdered children at Waco.
Know your place, serfs.
No, you are just a punk, thinking little punk thoughts and projecting.
The concept of freedom frightens you, and you don’t like other people having it.
