A Texas park ranger cautioned a group about coronavirus social distancing - only to get pushed into a lake. A recording of the incident shows the Commons Ford Metropolitan Park ranger asking a group gathered on the docks of Lake Austin to “disperse” because people were not standing six feet apart. The group was unlawfully drinking and smoking in the public park, as well. Just after someone tells the ranger “I got you,” a man runs up and pushes the ranger into the water. The man fell in as well, but he managed to climb out first and flee. Brandon Hicks, 25, was identified by a number of witnesses as the man who pushed the ranger. Hicks was arrested and charged with attempted assault on a public servant – a state felony – and damaging the ranger’s emergency radio, according to court documents seen by FOX 7. Officials say the "intentional and reckless action" by Hicks could have caused the park ranger to hit his head as he fell, becoming unconscious in water deep enough for him to drown. Hicks was in jail Friday with bail set at $7,500. Austin police officer Justin Berry, who arrested Hicks, told the Statesman that people were quick to help the ranger and identify Hicks as the assailant. “The patrons of the park actually came to the aid of the park ranger,” Berry said. “Several people came up to the ranger and apologized for the guy’s behavior. That’s the Austin we know, and that’s the Austin we love.”

The left doesn’t have a sense of humor. My wife and I tried to binge watch a comedy called alpha house. We lasted about three shows before we just didn’t think it was very well written.
It’s about a bunch of US senators living together in the same apartment and, yes, they are all republican. But the political humor is not republican-centric. It’s “politician centric.” It’s making fun of politicians.
I told my wife they had to make the ghus republican because republicans can laugh at them selves, so they will watch the show, and democrats will watch the show because it makes fun of republicans. It if made fun of democrats, no democrat would watch it.

My nephew owns and manages a bar/restaurant there and has a good clientele, but has to deal with the weirdos and the corrupt liberal city/county government.

I agree that the Feds overreached their authority, but they didn’t kill those kids.
The IR expert who analyzed it, and said the flashes were of guns (and not sunlight flashing off of glass, like the government lamely claimed) ended up mysteriously *dead*.

I’m dismayed as well, to find so many FReepers on this thread taking the side of the assailant of a LEO. Their comments make me think of the far left Antifa who despise law enforcement and conservatism. ...The people at the State Park were illegally smoking weed and drinking alcohol, but the Ranger being nice and was only asking them to stay farther apart.
This was NOT a Texas Ranger. The LEO assaulted was a Park Ranger.
