Former national security advisor and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and then hired new lawyers who moved to withdraw his plea, has had his bombshell moment, according to some. According to others, there was not much to see here other than routine FBI tactics.
On Wednesday night, the documents that Fox News host Maria Bartiromos sources promised would exonerate Flynn dropped. When they did, conservatives said that the documents were proof that the FBI entrapped and even set up Flynn. Bartiromo said the documents represented a confirmed setup.
How much is enough? Confirmed unlawful wiretaps on @carterwpage confirmed setup on @GenFlynn confirmed informants before 7/31/16 &more. @MorningsMaria @FoxBusiness 🇺🇸

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) said the same.
Clear now that General Flynn was set up by dirty cops at the highest levels of our government

And there is a belief that there is more to come in Flynns favor.
DOJ just informed the federal court that it has found and turned over even more potentially exculpatory documents in the Flynn case that had previously been withheld. What's in these records? According to DOJ, they include "messages between and among [FBI] personnel[.]" pic.twitter.com/c6rxVKQelb

P
That makes it worse - a LOT worse - not better.
Entrapment, a criminal practice, is standard practice? No system of justice should work this way.
So the FBI routinely attempts to entrap people?
Interesting.
The FBI has used these corrupt practices on their enemies for decades.
The Federal Bureau of Incrimination and Sedition (FBIAS) needs to be disbanded.
Entrapment has been their MO for decades.
Routine eh? Sounds like lawsuit cover for Comey et al.
Entrapment & threats - FBI SOP
and blow up buildings with babies in them on occasion.
SS FBI
There was NOTHING “routine” about this investigation. NOTHING.
If entrapping people is routine, do they have some type of goods on Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts also???
If “routine” then ALL the more reason to clean house
How bout stop dropping the ball or covering on the really bad guys, like the Robert Hanssens, Comeys, Strzoks, et al in your Bureau?
No; Roberts is all in.
And what kind of conservatives would have “goods” on them, without really being conservative in the first place?
My thought too. So now we know that virtually all of their “investigations” and the resulting charges are corrupt from the start?
its true. the FIB jailed the KNOWINGLY innocent
and gave machine guns to the KNOWINGLY murderous.
They ignored warning of the Boston Bombers parents
and other agencies,
even while THEY practiced SEDITION in the upper floors.
Is that not enough?
Fire them all. Burn the buildings. Salt the Earth.
Yeah, well the Gestapo routinely did a lot of bad stuff too.
Yeah, right. Focus on process and not the underlying context. The FBI successfully took out the National Security Adviser to the President on trumped up charges and tried to take out Trump as well on obstruction of justice charges. Flynn was a target since at least August 2016.
“So the FBI routinely attempts to entrap people?”
Yup. SOP. But we should treat it as a ‘bombshell’ because that should not be normal and the general public has no idea about the way law enforcement behaves — entrapment, overcharging, civil asset forfeiture, etc etc.
It’s routine to deny a suspect his right to a lawyer during questioning? He was expressly under investigation. He expressly asked if he needed an attorney. They expressly told him he did not not. Even a rookie street cop knows this is enough to get his case tossed by a judge.
Of course there is much more but that is enough.
