Explosive new internal FBI documents unsealed Wednesday show that top bureau officials discussed their motivations for interviewing then-national security adviser Michael Flynn in the White House in January 2017 -- and openly questioned if their "goal" was "to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired."
The handwritten notes -- written by the FBI's former head of counterintelligence Bill Priestap after a meeting with then-FBI Director James Comey and then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, Fox News is told -- further suggested that agents planned in the alternative to get Flynn "to admit to breaking the Logan Act."
The Logan Act is an obscure statute that has never been used in a criminal prosecution; enacted in 1799 in an era before telephones, it was intended to prevent individuals from falsely claiming to represent the United States government abroad.
"What is our goal?" one of the notes read. "Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?"
Michael Flynn's attorney believes the judge will have to vacate her client's conviction
The handwritten notes are devastating evidence of an effort to disregard all standing protocols and rules, Sidney Powell said
"If we get him to admit to breaking the Logan Act, give facts to DOJ + have them decide," another note read. Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley called the document's implications "chilling."
The memo appears to weigh the pros and cons of pursuing those different paths. "I don't see how getting someone to admit their wrongdoing is going easy on him," one note reads. Flynn did not ultimately admit to wrongdoing in the interview.
The document indicates that the agents at least discussed the merits of a by-the-book approach: "If were seen as playing games, WH [White House] will be furious."

The Federal Bureau of Inquisition
Barr will do nothing.
The FBI was baiting Trump into doing something that would throw the election. Luckily, DJT had the resolve to not fall for it.
Praying for revenge after the election.
Barr will do nothing.
You're a broken record.
And it's bad music. Like disco or polka or something.
“Barr will do nothing.
You’re a broken record.”
I want him to come down on the turds hard, but so far it’s crickets.
Waiting, waiting.....
It is this sort of corrupt practices by the FBI’s “elite leadership” that makes me, as a retired federal agent of another investigative agency, invariably DISTRUST anything done by the swamp creatures who infest the 7th Floor of the FBI building.
I suggest to anyone who is “invited to consult with” FBI personnel to always take a competent attorney with you to each meeting & exercise your RIGHT under the Fifth Amendment to say NOTHING at all in response to any question.
It was my long experience that the typical FBI agent has 2 goals:
1. To always try make the FBI as an agency LOOK flawless to the general public in every situation.
AND
2. To always find a way to blame someone/anyone else for the laziness, incompetence & any possible failure of FBI agents, in every situation.

STOP IT.......Sydney Powell just THANKED Barr and Durham for getting these documents!
Some people need to be charged with serious crimes, loose their jobs & pensions and hopefully spend a good part of the rest of their life behind bars.
Could someone ask Democrats what their definition of obstruction of justice includes?
A friend of mine worked for the Secret Service, and was on the protection detail of a former president. All you had to do to get him riled up was to just mention the FBI. He hates the bastards with a passion.
My general rule is ever, ever talk to any government agent without an attorney and recording devices present.
Frankly, in 2020, though I’m NOW retired, that IF I was to be “interviewed” by a federal agency, I would arrive WITH an attorney & prepared to say NOTHING, regardless of the questions. = MUM is the word.
After 8 years of OBAMA’s DISHONESTY, I trust NOBODY anymore.
(Federal agents were NOT always that way, either.)
Yours, TMN78247
