Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden leads President Trump in a new national poll that shows a reversal in the race amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Forty-four percent of respondents in the USA Today–Suffolk University poll said they backed the former vice president, while 38 percent said they supported Trump.
The last USA Today–Suffolk poll showed Trump leading Biden by 3 points in December 2019. Biden was in the middle of a crowded presidential primary late last year, while Trump was dealing with the House impeachment inquiry into his past conversations with the president of Ukraine.

I really want to make fun of this poll. After all, every poll in 2016 called the election for Hillary.
But unfortunately I see Trump as the true underdog in 2020. And it’s not because of some poll. It’s because we will see voter fraud this year that would make Stalin blush.
How can anyone support Biden for anything except maybe pretend POTUS of the dementia unit in a nursing home?

I’m sorry but this poll is ridiculous. It was a hot night what people tell posters and the person for whom they will actually vote are two different things.

So, the majority of the country thinks Biden would be a better leader, better for the economy, and would have handled the pandemic better than Trump? You’d have to be as unstable as Biden to believe that.
The polls are unreliable. They call people at inopportune moments and ask a question that implies that the person has an intellect, and has thought intelligently about the subject. Most haven’t. It’s purely name recognition and impressions based on unreliable emotions and fleeting impressions.
This election campaign is the worst ever. It’s disguised as a health crisis. The “health crisis” was contrived so as to put pressure on Trump and then no matter what blame him for the pain and misery. It’s a 2020 version of “Bush/Katrina.”
The public is easily fooled and led into hysterical panic. I’m hoping that enough of us reasonable people get to the polls in November and keep biden/jabba-the-hut out of the White House.

And Bidens campaign consisted of him mumbled about something in several interviews. Trump is going to kick his arese in the debates.

Do these pollsters realize what a person has to put up with if they say they support President Trump.
I love him, can’t wait to vote for him, but if some bozo called and asked if I would vote for him, I’d say NO sir.

You are correct of course. That means Suffolk polling contacted people, whether registered or not, who told them they were in fact registered. IOW, it’s a poll of “adults.”
