WASHINGTON President Donald Trumps erratic handling of the coronavirus outbreak, the worsening economy and a cascade of ominous public and private polling have Republicans increasingly nervous that they are at risk of losing the presidency and the Senate if Trump does not put the nation on a radically improved course.
The scale of the GOPs challenge has crystallized in the last week. With 26 million Americans now having filed for unemployment benefits, Trumps standing in states that he carried in 2016 looks increasingly wobbly: New surveys show him trailing significantly in battleground states like Michigan and Pennsylvania, and he is even narrowly behind in must-win Florida.
Democrats raised substantially more money than Republicans did in the first quarter in the most pivotal congressional races, according to recent campaign finance reports. And while Trump is well ahead in money compared with the presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden, Democratic donors are only beginning to focus on the general election, and several super political action committees plan to spend heavily on behalf of him and the party.
Perhaps most significantly, Trumps single best advantage as an incumbent his access to the bully pulpit has effectively become a platform for self-sabotage.

Anything in PRINT that came off the presses of New York Times, is useful only to wipe you privates when you have no TP.
A coward dies a thousand times. A brave man tastes of death but once. Pansies.
I would appreciate that articles such as this be identified in the title as a work of fiction or as the source’s/author’s wet dream.
It really does read like something the authors would read in bed while spending some quality solo time.
Hey, its the New York Times. They still think Hillary has a chance to win the 2016 election once all the absentee ballot votes are in.
[[President Donald Trumps erratic handling of the coronavirus outbreak]]
They keep saying this- but NEVER give any legitimate examples of how he’s been ‘erratic’- all they have is baseless false accusations that ‘he didn’t act soon enough’- that;s all they have- and it’s a complete lie-
How many here think biden would have shut down our borders? Or worked with companies to build new ppe stuff, or gotten respirators like Pres Trump has managed to do? Or ordered millions of doses of HCQ? or or or-
The media are pathetic- their handling of reporting consists of nothing but disgusting lies- They are attempting to brainwash the low info masses- they aren’t even a legit news media anymore-
President Trump is right- why hold press conferences when they refuse to report the truth and just keep coming up with false narratives to paint Him as out of touch all the time?
They aren’t interested in the truth- they can’t handle the truth- and most any msm reporter who claims ot be ‘fair and balanced’ or ‘not biased’ is a bald-faced liar-
Been posted here before twice .
why push these lies non stop
The Slimes and Yahoo. What an ignominious combination.

Consider the source.
Oh lookie, concern trolls Jonathan Martin and Maggie Haberman swill out DNC talking points in the NY Slimes.
Partisan Media Shills update.
It should not be allowed to overshadow the solid work done to mitigate and control this epidemic.
Deaths are well below model minimums, deaths are largely concentrated in the NY area and its neighboring states. We kept ahead of PPE and ventilator needs despite detractors.
Trump needs to focus on the economic recovery.
In Trump's favor? It looks like he's facing a very confused Joe Biden. If not for Covid-19, Trump would have easily won reelection. Now I think he's got to fight and the press will continue to lie and run him down and the Democrats will do the same.
Every time the Democrats attack him for his response the campaign should show the record and Fauci and Birx both saying he listened to them. Birx gave a strong defense of Trump the other night saying the health data is much like economic data which Trump is very familiar with, he asked for all detail levels down to the county level and for comparisons to other nations to see what we can or have learned from them, he asks relevant questions and follows their guidance because he understands the material.
Blah, blah, blah. If anything, we’re feeling overconfident, not nervous.
I fully expect Trump to trounce Biden in the election.
President Trump is “sinking” but the misleadia is “rising”
Sure...
They wonder why more than 1/2 the country thinks their a joke.
I can’t wait to see what the screeching harpies at NYT are spewing in October...
Another NYT ‘wish’n & hope’n’ article.
Wasn’t Haberman slapped down hard by POTUS last week?
The Times is more a 5th column than 4th estate.
New York Times via Yahoo
That’s all you need to know.
Searched on the exact title. Nothing.

Sure thing whatever the New York Times says. Name the nervous Republicans - No-mind Goldberg David French don’t count.
In a way this is GREAT news.
Trump will work twice as hard.
Trump voters will work twice as hard.
Trump wins as the Underdog.
This is as bad as it gets for Trump.
Biden will fade as he emerges from under rock.
Wishful thinking is strong with these TDS people. I see this making trump stronger.
