An Idaho woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she was violating city orders by trespassing on a city playground that was closed to stop the spread of the coronavirus. CBS affiliate KBOI-TV reports that 40-year-old Sara Brady, of Meridian, was arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor trespassing.

Following Brady's arrest, which was captured on social media, there were protests held at Meridian City Hall, KBOI reported. Station KTVB reported that roughly 100 people protested.

“Is it possible to trespass on public property?”

Storm the White House or Area 51 and find out.

Yep.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Visions of increased power causes insanity.

I heard that they can not charge someone with trespass the first time. You get a warning.
Then if the person comes back a second time they can be charged?

Sunshine kills the virus. No reason for playgrounds to be shut.

Nope. This is my home town. It borders Boise in South West Idaho.

All things that “public safety” officials decide individuals ought to do, for their own good, should be in the form of ‘public recommendations that depend on individual responsibility’ to carry them out as the people see fit. That is how social distancing stuff is put out in Sweden, which in spite of its once flirtation with socialism, seems to be more respectful of the individual rights than here in the U.S. lately.

Not sure on Idaho/open public lands, but if you're on private property and asked to leave, it's trespassing if you don't leave. Which makes more sense, Giving a warning for someone who refuses to leave? How is that going to get them removed?

No, not northern Idaho, but Meridian, just next door to Boise.

Don’t tell me the police or the military would be on “our side” if the Democrats forced a rebellion on us by imposing a Leftist totalitarian government.

They obey the orders of who pays them. If a Democrat mayor or governor or president is causing the checks or direct deposits to be issued, they will obey the Democrat. Period. That ship has long sailed, and we’ve images like this enough over the years to know this is so.

One of the reasons America is failing right before our eyes is that everyone in America has become a mercenary. The politicians sell out the country to China or Soros or Ukraine or some industry for under the table Monet...why would we expect bureaucrats or the police or military to be any different?

Everyone is in it for himself or herself...for their own bank account...this is why America is failing, and there’s no way to stop it at this point. He who pays the wages wins the game, just look at the trillions spent this past month. The cops will do what gets them a paycheck, they have no more “principles” than that.

It can no longer honestly be said that local police are there to serve and protect the common citizens. This REFLECTS a Supreme Court decision of several years ago. Local police exist to protect the local governments.

Think about the impact of that people!

Complete bull. When Khaddafi gave the army the order to shoot civilians, 75% deserted and headed back to their provinces to protect their families.

Really? You are comparing Khaddafi’s rabble with an army or police force made up of people who have to think about pensions, mortgages, college for their kids, car payments, utility bills, credit cards, cell phones and broadband? Really? What do you think this is all about?

And you’re comparing our armed forces to Hitler’s goosestepping Nazi gestapo.

Our soldiers and Marines are not gestapo. Apologize now.
