Hours after President Donald Trump announced Monday night he would be temporarily suspending all immigration, “Fox & Friends” co-host Ainsley Earhardt questioned on-air what that meant for her and others like her, given her au pair is foreign-born. Earhardt...said, “Many families here — including mine — we have au pairs and we rely on them. I go to work at 3 o’clock in the morning so I need her there and I need her in my house so that she can help me with my daughter.”

God bless you. I live in Massachusetts. In my profession I was tasked with breaking in/mentoring many a college student. Out of the scores I dealt with only one had a good attitude, came to work every day and stuck with the profession long enough to become successful at it. I know other locales have better raised kids. Still trying to figure out why i stay here.
I drive a 20-year old Honda with 240,000 miles (needs work more often now), live alone as my dog died, don’t even look for work anymore as I can’t get any due to H1-B, H-4, etc. I’m in forced early retirement if you know what I mean due to age too. One of my ex-coworkers (American) works at Wal-Mart now because one of the Indian H1-B’s told me he bumped into him at Wal-Mart. This guy lost his job to another H1-B Indian simply because they could pay an Indian less even though he had more experience.
I don’t even own a freezer or refrigerator and the one I use is the landlords and it does not work very well. I rent and pay about $1000 child support out of savings every month for ONE child. I will be taking a loan out in Jan. probably on my IRA (converted from 401k) to pay more child support.
Due to great distance and a mean vindictive ex-wife, I don’t get to see my son much. But I try to let him know if he needs advice or anything else, clear it with his Mom and give me a call. He never calls.
I use to have coworkers, not colleagues. Look I get it. Based on your FR name “Mom MD” I assume you are a medical doctor? And, you are a woman?
I just lost my female doctor as she just retired. I was searching for another female doctor (same org.) and the three recommended to me are guess what? All wonderful. And I have to choose one. I guess I’m blessed afterall.
My respect for you now is not infinitely low, but high now.
With just a few sentences you took it off me and defused the tension. That is a sign of an adult, and unfortunately, I have not been a grown up.
I think seeing that Pelosi commercial didn’t help either.
Last year, my best friend died of cancer and he lived with me free of charge for five months. I saw what immigration did to his wage at Tyson Foods in Council Bluffs, IA. And people on FR wonder why people scream for upping the minimum wage. I have seen the devastation in wages in his life and in mine and in BOTH of my brothers and the cause was simply massive amounts of immigration driving the wages down. The race of immigrants is not the issue, but simply the math.
I sincerely apologize for unfairly criticizing you, and although I think it hurt you, I can also see you are strong and a good person and most certainly a better person than me. Thanks for bringing me back from the edge. Time for me to go back to focusing on others.

I work in a hospital. One of my jobs is cleaning the rooms that the ER doctors, X-ray techs and visiting physicians stay in.
I have the utmost respect for you and do not equate your situation with Ainsley's in any way, shape or form.
Thank you for what you do and I sincerely and humbly apologize for offending you.
Now, I must get back on my moral high horse and save the world from other elitist snobs like Ainsley Earhardt with my FR posts.

I’ve never been impressed with her, she comes across as an airhead who got her job based on looks, then uses her show to promote her simple books.
When I see Fox and Friends, you can tell Brian Kilmeade can barely disguise his disdain for having to work with an intellectual lightweight.
Now, this tone-deaf comment shows she does not have the judgement to filter herself.

One of the things I like best about FR is the all-out-attack followed by the “oops, sorry” mea culpa. You don’t see them much on other boards but here its a way of life.
Ainsley Airhead has never impressed me with her knowledge or intellect. F&F was at its best when E.D. Hill ruled the roost.

Ainsley's obtuse line of questioning certainly invites criticism. The best part, of course, is that her self-important bleating is probably music to Trump's ears.
As for the facts, well, Trump hasn't announced any deportations of people here on work visas, just a halt to new immigration. Unless Ms. Earhardt changes her au pair as a seasonal event, I don't see how this would be an inconvenience or a *personal* issue for a reporterette, at all.
Honestly, I don't care about this woman's personal life. Media talking-head poor behavior, however, always deserves a kick in the teeth.
Taking bets on whether her au pair is an illegal alien or not.

To be clear, though, my mea culpa is directed specifically at mom MD.
I stand by my scathing remarks towards Ainsley Earhardt. And that's not easy to do while riding a moral high horse.
