Peace be unto you;
as my Father hath sent me,
even so sent I you.
John 20:21

Precious Lord,

The stone has been rolled away, the burial cloths shed. The shackles of death have been broken, and the victory has been won. Your resurrection changed everything, Lord. Had You stayed in the tomb, we would never know eternal life with You. Father, our hearts are full of love and thanksgiving for the gift of Jesus and the sacrifice He became for us. Now those who truly believe and follow You shall surely have a hope and a future. One solitary life has led to life eternal for those who accept Your incomprehensible love as payment for what we could not pay for ourselves. Thank You, Father, for so great a love---so great a gift.

Thank You for the peace that Your love has brought us. In this time of great trial in our nation, we thank You for being our peace. Your Word says that now You have sent us, even as You were sent. Now we are to carry forth in the manner of Your Word and Your love. Help us, Lord, for without You we can do nothing, but with You we can do all things as You strengthen us.

Father, we need Your help in restoring America after this time of battle against disease. Thank You, Lord, for giving our President tremendous wisdom and discernment in making decisions that affect this nation and its families. Lord, we pray that Your provision for us would be received and that the number of businesses that cannot start up again would be minimal. Guide our governors and the Task Force as well and may their hearts be open and tender to Your leading. We pray for Your comfort for all who have lost their homes, their jobs, their savings, and their hope during this trying time, as well as those who have lost loved ones to this horrible disease. Thank You for those who are praying for our nation and its leaders, Lord, and may Your answers to our prayers be received with gratitude and joy.

Now, Lord, we pray that You would help us to be the peacemakers, for You have called them blessed. May we be the love and peace of Jesus to all we meet and may our hearts be forever changed by the life and sacrifice of our Beautiful Savior. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Psalm 103:1-22 (NIV2011)
1 Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:
8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.
15 The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field;
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—
18 with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.
20 Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.
21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.
22 Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, my soul.

We pray for Your comfort for all who have lost their homes, their jobs, their savings, and their hope during this trying time, as well as those who have lost loved ones to this horrible disease.

Lord we also lift up the homeless. We ask that you heal them of any mental illness or drug addiction. We pray that this situation would not prevent others from ministering to them.
Amen.

Go to Dark Gethsemane

Go to dark Gethsemane, ye that feel the tempter’s power
Your Redeemer’s conflict see, watch with Him one bitter hour
Turn not from His griefs away; learn of Jesus Christ to pray

Follow to the judgment hall, view the Lord of life arraigned
O, the wormwood and the gall! O, the pangs His soul sustained!
Shun not suffering, shame, or loss; learn of Him to bear the cross

Calvary’s mournful mountain climb; there, adoring at His feet
Mark that miracle of time—God’s own sacrifice complete
“It is finished!” hear the cry; learn of Jesus Christ to die

Early hasten to the tomb where they laid His breathless clay
All is solitude and gloom. Who hath taken Him away?
Christ is risen! He meets our eyes; Savior, teach us so to rise

Amen!!

Psalm 116

1 I love the Lord, because he has heard
my voice and my supplications.
2 Because he inclined his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
3 The snares of death encompassed me;
the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me;
I suffered distress and anguish.
4 Then I called on the name of the Lord:
‘O Lord, I pray, save my life!’

5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
our God is merciful.
6 The Lord protects the simple;
when I was brought low, he saved me.
7 Return, O my soul, to your rest,
for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

8 For you have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling.
9 I walk before the Lord
in the land of the living.
10 I kept my faith, even when I said,
‘I am greatly afflicted’;
11 I said in my consternation,
‘Everyone is a liar.’

12 What shall I return to the Lord
for all his bounty to me?
13 I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call on the name of the Lord,
14 I will pay my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his faithful ones.
16 O Lord, I am your servant;
I am your servant, the child of your serving-maid.
You have loosed my bonds.
17 I will offer to you a thanksgiving sacrifice
and call on the name of the Lord.
18 I will pay my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people,
19 in the courts of the house of the Lord,
in your midst, O Jerusalem.
Praise the Lord!
