ANNAPOLIS, MD—As the COVID-19 crisis escalates in the National Capital Region, Governor Larry Hogan today issued a Stay at Home order to protect public health and safety. The order, which takes effect at 8:00 p.m. tonight, states that no Maryland resident should leave their home unless it is for an essential job or for an essential reason, such as obtaining food or medicine, seeking urgent medical attention, or for other necessary purposes.

I don’t think this is new. We’ve been under these directives for a couple of weeks - and the video in the article is from March 30, not from today’s press conference, which took place indoors.
Today his press conference stated it is mandatory to wear a face mask to enter a retail store.
He also called on the “Federal Government” to not play partisan politics......that’s rich when he is a Trump Hater and never holds back bashing our president.
I haven’t liked some of the things Hogan has said about Trump; but I don’t have a problem with the way the Governor has handled the pandemic in our state.
And I resent it when I see people out now without masks. I’m in the ‘vulnerable’ category, but I have needed to go out a few times during the last month. People who refuse to wear them are either ignorant, or selfish.

during a war the right to travel can and will be restricted depending on where you travel.
In an emergency declared by a president of governor, many rights COULD be restricted.

Yeah, my lovely home state, The People's Republik of Maryland. My sister with two degrees in business had to take a job at Walmart because that place is so f*cked up, and she said that on top of being herded through cattle chutes to keep the head count down for 'social distancing' purposes, as of Saturday NOBODY will be allowed in without a mask. I call DOUBLE BULLSHIT!

Thanks to all who replied with clarification that this article was old news. Apparently the only new restriction is about wearing masks in stores and on public transportation.
Notice that Hogan did not use the word, “order” but the pussy-foot word “direct?” What an A$$wipe!
Maryland, a state that has been trying to fail for over 70 years. Success is only a few years away, keep the hope alive, you’re doing a great job.

It’s a good idea to investigate as to whether something you are reading is a sincere post, or something from a provocateur.
I am so glad to be from Alabama. Our Governor was among the last to impose state wide restrictions. She did it with a very light hand. Most people were already doing most of what she asked of us. Some towns have had to start curfews, mainly because of youts hanging out. I doubt seriously that we will have to go to Montgomery and chastise Mama Kay.
