New Jersey orders residents to wear masks in grocery stores

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) ordered all residents to wear masks in grocery stores as coronavirus cases and deaths continue to climb.

He said during a press briefing Wednesday that those not wearing face coverings would "get asked to leave," except for those who are under age 2 or with medical reasons to not wear a mask.

"My personal guidance is you gotta go out and find something to put on your face before you come in," he said, according to NJ.com.

Murphy also announced that all nonessential construction will "CEASE indefinitely" starting at 8 p.m Friday

Murphy is a Stalinist jerk loving every minute of this. Whatever happened to choosing whether or not to place yourself in danger, real or imagined? The only health decision that seems to involve choice these days is if a woman wants an abortion. Liberals are fine with that.”

Wearing a mask isn’t to protect you, it’s to protect others. You are putting others in danger. I don’t care what you do to put yourself in danger as long as it doesn’t effect others. How about having a little respect for the people working in that store by wearing a mask. It’s not asking that much.

For example, ln the limited instance when stepping out for groceries, we see grocery stores limiting supermarket access to fewer and fewer patrons to maintain the distance required under current social distancing protocol. Once inside, each aisle of the grocery store has arrows dictating the direction for the flow of traffic. Registers limit the distance between patrons . Diana points out that certain locations (LA, DC)_deny access to anyone not wearing a mask.

In the linked video, the host, Jason Goodman asks, how long before they limit access to any building or business unless patrons are willing to have their hands scanned for a chip which identifies vaccination records?

The sad thing about this directive is the only mask that is effective is only available to health care professionals. All other types will not block the virus if it is “headed” your way, the virus is small and can get thru all other types of fabric. This is so misleading to the general public, false sense of security.

This is getting stupid. There are effective ways to manage infections and social distancing is not one of them.

The unstated consequences are ruining the economy, putting millions out of work, crippling business and impoverishing retirees who are dependent on savings and investments. I would have written unintended consequences but now I'm no longer sure.

Masks are of limited value if you are are coughing and less if you are infectious. They do little or nothing to protect you. They are now being worn as a form of virtue signaling and mental placebo. If it feels good - do it. But leave off lecturing and shaming others. I apologize if this seems rude. But the models were grossly wrong. Wild Ass Guessing is irresponsible.
