As Democrat power brokers survey the constantly shifting ground in the lead-up to the national election, it is not hard to guess the candidate strategy discussions going on in their super-secret supervillain lairs.
Plan A: Hide a Biden
The first strategy is to run nobody at all, which is another way of saying they stick with Joe Biden. The idea here is to use the current COVID-19 environment to keep Joe Biden safely tucked away and quiet while the media and surrogates do the heavy reinvention.
This is not an altogether bad strategy and probably the best one they have if Biden remains the candidate since it is becoming obvious to everyone not named Joe Biden that Biden's sharpest days are long behind him. Let's be honest: he was never that sharp even in his glory days, but he was certainly a lot more lucid when he helped spearhead the despicable character assassination of Robert Bork.
What commends this strategy is that national presidential elections tend to be referenda on the incumbent. With that in mind, there are worse ideas than sticking a muzzle on ole Joe and hiding him under a rock, or in a bunker full of rubber toys.
This is not to say candidates don't matter. Elections are fought on the margin for a small percentage of votes that can be shifted. A strong or weak candidate can shift a small percentage of votes in either direction or change the turnout model. In a closely divided country, small shifts are deadly.
Still, more people will vote based upon their perception of President Donald Trump than any thought about Joe Biden if the media-Democrat battle station can keep the latter shielded from scrutiny.

I love what Sean Hannity did from President Trump and helping him get elected. That said I cannot listen to him more than 5 minutes. In 5 minutes I listened yesterday, Bill O’Reilly yesterday mentioned that he thought Cuomo and Clinton would give him the race somewhere around June. I still think it will be a brokered convention and at that point they really don’t care what their voters say Clinton and Cuomo will be the new ticket.

The author misses an obvious point here: If the Democratic power brokers are looking to ditch Biden, then why did they go through all the trouble of rigging the primaries to rescue his candidacy?
I was just telling my wife that 40 years ago, he was much more well spoken; it just so happens that he was still stupid and always wrong - especially about foreign policy.
I for one can’t believe they would actually go to the election with him.
This is a sad state of affairs. He clearly isn’t all there, he is a congenital liar, he is corrupt, he is on film putting his hands all over women and little girls, he has been accused of sexual assault.
I don’t mind seeing the Left engage in self-immolation, but I don’t think it is healthy to have one, real viable political party in this country.
The entire Left has a collective screw loose.

I think the dems were going to dump whoever came out on top during the campaign season.
It was just bread and circus entertainment to occupy the time of the rank and file liberal morons until the party deems it time to tell them who will be running.
I think without all the effort of Biden and Warren, that Bernie Sanders would have been the true pick of primary voters. That scenario was ‘forbidden’.
What we are coming down to is that a quarter of Democratic voters are looking for the far-left socialist type candidate, which the bulk of the DNC control-crowd simply shake their head over.
Looking forward to 2024, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Bernie-crowd is peeved over how this was handled, and just create a separate party for their agenda, and putting the Democratic Party into a serious amount of pain.

He’s being set up to be brokered out on a medical. Pretty sure his wife is in on it too. I would think there is very little to like about this guy. There are no marriages in DC. There are only political corporations, where in the husband is the elected official, and the wife is the person you pay to get access.
I used to be related to one of these creatures. She made around 500K per year in an insurance company. No prior insurance industry experience. All her husband did was be an elected official. First a Rep, then a Senator.
Because he’s a perfect fall guy.
They’ll tell him when to step down and he’ll do it because he has enough corruption around him to make him submissive.
If Bernie or Warren had gotten to this point, they would be in arm’s reach of the ultimate prize and would not.

OK — so they stopped Bernie Sanders. Then why didn’t they just stop him by supporting another candidate from the start who will be the REAL nominee?
It was the progressive party. It was divided into two groups; Republican progressives, such as George Bush, the vice president forced on Reagan, and Democrat progressives, such as Bill Clinton.
Now, the right, under President Trump, has developed an alternative party by pushing out many "Republican progressives" otherwise known as RINOs.
It still has tremendous opposition from the Progressives, who dominate the Media, academia, Hollywood, California, the East coast, and Illinois.
