President Trump signaled he is open to creating a second White House task force for implementing a plan to reopen the American economy, which is now virtually shut down by the coronavirus.
"Thinking about it, getting a group of people and we have to open our country," Trump told reporters Saturday. "You know, I had an expression, the cure can't be worse than the problem itself. Right? I started by saying that, and I continue to say it. The cure cannot be worse than the problem itself. We got to get our country open."
The president sent a tweet hours earlier endorsing the idea, floated by Fox News anchor and former White House press secretary Dana Perino.
"I think we need a 2nd task force assembled at direction of POTUS to look ahead to reopening of the economy. Made up of a nonpartisan/bipartisan mix of experts across industry sectors, so that we have their recommendations & plan," Perino said.
I live in VA. There are around 100 death in VA from corona virus and something like 1200 flu deaths this season. So what is more impactful to date?
It would be a very healthy fight -> and I BET The economics/business team comes out with MUCH BETTER MORE ACCURATE MODELS (not just $$$ but health) than the health team.

I do not think he anticipated, from the numbers he was given at first, that a second task force would be needed. I think he planned to open things up gradually and easily.
He is playing this all by ear.

I wish he would just do it, and not say he is considering it. Announcing that he has formed a task force for this would really help the morale of the country. So just do it! :)
Consider? He should have a team on standby with no democraps or Bushes involved. OPEN THE DAM GATES! Have what people who can still work at home, stay there. The rest, wear a mask!

At the presser Trump said a few minutes ago that they’re distributing hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin to hospitals and pharmacies all over the country as he spoke.
