Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley criticized CNN reporter Jim Acosta’s behavior during White House coronavirus briefings.
“Jim Acosta's interruption of Dr. Birx is an example of how CNN's echo-journalism model is destroying the media's credibility,” .... “Every question from Acosta is an effort to score points rather than elicit information. It is a press pandemic that continues to rage without relief.”
Acosta drew the ire of several journalists for his combative style during White House briefings on the Trump administration's response to the coronavirus pandemic, including from Fox News’s Brit Hume, who criticized Acosta for “interrupting” the president.

Is it my imagination or does Trump take more questions from Jim Acosta than any other reporter? Trump makes Acosta look like a fool.

No doubt he takes more questions than he should. I would love for PDJT to just ignore him for a day...Abelio wouldn’t be able to control the drama queen inside.

Costa obviously goes far beyond asking snarky, insulting, "have-you-stopped-beating-your-wife" questions, he second-guesses and rudely argues with the president, as though he, Costa, was an equal.
Trump is an experienced and capable street fighter and may be using Costa as a punching bag. What a great way to blow off steam generated in he effort to get a handle on what may be our nation's greatest threat. Think of Obama watching basketball on television.
OTOH, Trump is carrying 2-3x the normal presidential load and it shows when he walks off the podium. The left, the media, and Costa all would love for Trump to be gone. Costa would be celebrated if he were instrumental in reaching that goal.
I truly hope the WH doctor is carefully monitoring the level of Trump's involvement in the briefings.
That is why Trump puts up with Acosta. The more Acosta is a bully, the more CNN looks bad for letting him act that way.
You think Trump doesn't know that. Even the most hardened lefty has to admit deep-down they respect Trump for at least allowing them to ask questions. He doesn't have to do this. And I'm sure many here would prefer if he didn't. But could you imagine the Hell the Democrats would raise if he didn't?
