According to a Gallup poll, a large majority of children report enjoyment and happiness while spending their days with their families.
Close to 9 in 10 parents of children under the age of 18 say their children experienced enjoyment (89 percent) and happiness (88 percent) during a lot of the day prior to the day they were interviewed.
Gallup noted that parents also reported feeling enjoyment or happiness but not as much as their children. But children also were more likely than their parents to be bored.
The Gallup poll was conducted March 24-27 of adults who are members of the Gallup Panel using random sampling.

So they are polling kids under 18 now? Must be running out of important things to poll.
One reason is that children are likely to be getting adequate sleep, something that is rare for many during the school year.
Cartoons candy naps yep a little bit of Eden.
And they’re not getting Michelle’s meals for rabbits.
Imagine that. Almost as if that's the way it's sposed to be.
They had to take a poll to figure this one out, the geniuses.
Really? You mean kids don’t like being woken up at the crack of dawn to be crated off to “before school care” to get to a “lord of the flies” environment all day to then be warehoused in “after school care” to be whisked up by distracted parents to get home, go to bed and do it all over again? Who knew?
Good point, also I have seen in the news how people are stressed and wanting to seek therapy in places like CA.
Screw that I love this safe distancing etc. No stress, and not dealing with idiots every day.
Those children are not 17 years old. My 17, almost 18 year old daughter is going crazy. And driving us crazy. So, I guess 9 to of 10 kids aren’t 17 year olds.
Always felt so bad for my grandkids...Had to be at the curb at 7:15. Lunch was at 10:30. Disgusting.
Meanwhile, Sarah Silverman is throwing a tantrum.
New idea for a school choice charter school?
they forgot to poll us old people in our 2nd and 3rd childhoods.
I agree.
I’ll just bet the results would be different if the same question were asked of the parents.
Why aren’t kids getting enough sleep today? I went to school in the 1950’s (mainly) and I seemed to do just fine.
I'd speculate it's due to electronic devices.
Back in my day very few kids had a tv in their bedroom.
many children do not enjoy school for various reasons...
I am sure my autism spectrum grandson is LOVING staying home....he prefers reading and playing video games, watching tv or playing with his legos to anything in school...
well this siege might be nice for many who don’t need a paycheck....don’t forget your fellow Americans without jobs who aren’t afforded the “work at home” excuse...
I wonder what the long term effect will be on homeschooling numbers.
