Meanwhile, after the entire stock of it is depleted or on order elsewhere, it will be determined it will be time to use it. Just like with the testing.

I am of the opinion that the US military should place a large order but only to be filled by a US based company.

From what I hear a very low dose regime and has been in use for for decades to fight malaria.

I can personally attest to that. I don't see what the problem is at all.

I’m in Reno. Not only could I not get tested, my Doc said she was forbidden to write a script. I had been sent home sick and ordered to get a test. What a joke the system is. Thanks Dems

100 million units, 1.36 Billion people.

Suspect that distribution will be under the Caste System in place in India.

Top first.

Well there are 1.3 billion Indians, so this ain’t gonna be enough. I think they probably make the pills in country though so they are more fortunate than we are in that regard.

Yes it has, and it probably does work as a prophylactic by changing the body’s pH, making it inhospitable for the virus to live. I’d bet many of the HC professionals are already taking it.

It’s also used for lupus for extended periods. After many years of use it can cause eye problems but that shouldn’t be an issue for the vast majority of people.

Detroit is actually doing a “proactive” Hydroxycholoroquine program - giving it preventatively to first responders, nurses and anyone who wants to voluntarily take it as part of a study to test effectiveness.

They claim those doses are “new” and won’t come from existing inventory used to treat Lupus, Arthritis and other diseases.

Should be interesting to see what if anything this proves, but I’m pretty confident based on everything I’ve heard that it will prevent those who volunteer from coming down with this thing.

We could outsource it to the cartels, they seem to be able to get their drugs in the supply chain rather quick.

>>By the time we do it there will be billions of prescriptions backlogged in the supply chain.<<

That’s a serious concern. President Trump had better put a better person in charge of procuring this than he did masks and tests or we’re screwed. (And this is not an anti-Trump screed; just a fact.)

That’s what the story said the Indians want it for, to give to their healthcare workers.

India is an interesting case. It’s close to China so I expected a massive outbreak, but that didn’t happen initially. That could have been due to not testing, and cases the past couple of days are rising fast now, but India is a malaria country so I wondered if the lack of cases could be due to prophylactic use of HCQ during malaria season.

It also occurs to me that if HCQ is used extensively in India, there are a lot of doctors there who could fairly soon be able to determine whether their patients on HCQ are less prone to Covid-19 than their other patients, especially if it were highly effective. I don’t know about the timing though. They might not have taken any in months, or they might already be on it for the coming malaria season? I’ve no idea.

These people who have been denying treatment are in too deep.

They have no say in the matter. Any doctor can prescribe this stuff, and could even before the FDA said it was okay for Cv19. It's between the doctors who prescribe it and the drug companies who supply it at this point.

Where the heck are our orders? We should be mass producing this drug by the boatload. I realize that it’s still in “trial” but we should be manufacturing tons of it to have it ready to go.
