Yesterday's thread here: https://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3828913/posts?page=1
Does anyone know that UV kills the virus. Sunlight. I believe that UV lighting is being used to “clean” subway cars in China.
Early on, before much of our air traffic had been stopped, there was an American company offering to provide their UV disinfecting machines to our airlines, free of charge.
It would go up and down the aisle and, from what I recall, disinfect the entire plane...unlike wiping down/spraying methods.
I wonder if this is similar to what China is using for their subway cars.
Thanks for that update.
I’m wondering how FL, and other states, can enforce a 14 day self-quarantine on peeps entering, from NY/NJ/CT, hot spot areas.
Do they have to check in every day with some official?

I don’t know. I think like the rest of the measures different levels of government have been instituting, it’s all about slowing infections down. Each measure is not perfect, but it slows infections by a certain number.
I think the severity of the suppression efforts are a better indication to us of the infection rate than the published numbers, because they are obviously looking at different data than we are.
I don’t think anyone knows how far the suppression measures will go. My guess is that at some point, if Florida gets into too much trouble, they will let trucks in only and turn everyone else around.
Agree...every little bit helps.
Kind of like the 15 Days to Flatten the Curve flyer, that VP carries around with him.
Hubby asked, the other day...Does Pence EVER put that sign down, or go anywhere without it?
I said, Well, considering the average IQ, of people in the country, I think it’s an elementary attempt at educating folks. Maybe if they see it, enough, they may actually practice some/part/all of it.

It’s moving faster than the flu, it seems to this nonstatistician. That is what has become so frightening. And much of the moving is invisible until it’s too late. So many people just now waking up to the demonic spirit of this epidemic.

Those flu numbers are greatly exaggerated. The CDC wants everyone vaccinated, so they guess how many people died from the flu each year, exaggerate the number, add in the pneumonia deaths, and then give us an estimate.
The numbers we see of COVID19 have been confirmed through lab tests. Next year, the CDC will go back, look at the data, and estimate COVID19 cases and deaths. Hmmm... What will they do with the pneumonia deaths next year? They can't lump them in with the flu this time.
If they are getting tested before they are allowed inside the mountain, aren’t there going to be 12% positives among them? Hoist by their own methods? I hope not but it could be. Unless they are carefully quarantined once inside.
