PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Shipments of the drug hydroxychloroquine will be making their way to Dade and Broward County hospitals to help people seriously ill with COVID-19, according to Florida’s governor.
Florida’s governor Ron DeSantis announced in the opening of his Saturday coronavirus briefing that hospital systems in Dade, Broward and Hillsborough counties, plus some hospitals in Orlando will receive the drug.
Hydroxychloroquine is currently under investigation for treatment of the COVID-19 coronavirus disease.
“It was being utilized in the state of New York. We had a Floridian who used it and was in very bad shape and it seemed to clear up the lungs and the virus," said Desantis.

I have a close friend who is also an Emergency room physician and has had COVID-19.....he swears by the HCQ/Z-pac combo both as a treatment and prophylactic.

Good about time..the ONLY reason why every state is not using these drugs is because Orange Man Bad and they dont want to give ANY credit to Trump for even mentioning it..they would much rather have people die so it hurts Trump in November that is all they care about

Glad I live in Florida with a Republican governor, and certain FR posters have zero say over whether or not my family can be prescribed this drug.

Foul. Desantis must not say the word “hydroxychloroquine” cause he’s not a doctor. Only doctors can use that word.
For 2 weeks we’ve seen the media freak out every time Trump tries to pretend to be a doctor by using that word.
Also, need to get word to the Governors of Nevada and Michigan that Florida will take all the hydroxychloroquine they confiscate from evil criminal doctors that are trying to give it to their patients.
Then they will blame Trump, but that seems to be in fashion these days.
Leaves more for the rest of us.
