The bill is overwhelmingly going to pass. This is an unnecessary stunt.

I wish more elected officials stood their ground and called this bill out for what it is....$hit!

Calling the bill a Coronavirus relief bill is a misnomer. It is way too large and that alone is suspect. Good for him.

Good point about the second Amendment. And Why couldn’t ONE republican, somewhere, insert an amendment that requires gun stores to be allowed to remain open as critical infrastructure?

I don’t sympathize much with people who run to buy a gun AFTER the comet hits, BUT why does our side never make a power play? Why are we still allowing Dems to run the senate with the filibuster rules.

When the dems run things there’s no filibuster and repubs have to sit in the corner with a dunce hat.

The vote was designed not to require a vote in person.

All that is required is that no one stand up and say "NO."

This way the hard-working senators and congressmen can get an extra day or two of mutual backslapping and R & R, while NOT having even to cast an actual $2 trillion-dollar vote.

All this in the name of bankrupting the nation to "combat" what the esteemed Dr. Fawchi, or Fraudchi, whatever, now calls "possibly a very bad flu."

Massie simply stood up and said NO! to Pelosi and Schumer and all the many spineless republicans.

The way I see it, the American people are the cops. Nancy and Mitch are running a bookie shop. The Bookie shop is about to make a 130,000 profit on some kinda deal. They are paying the cop 12,000 to look the other way.

They found our price. And some people hate Serpico for asking a question.

So many stupid comments on FR; The reality is the US will enter another Great Recession or Depression if millions of Americans lose their jobs for much longer and the stock market continues to crash. Democrats would then takeover all three branches and conservatives would be completely impotent. It is fantasy to think Republicans can stall this bill and not do real damage to America, the President, and both the Republican and Conservative brands. Realize that 3% of the country in an echo chamber only read their own ideas.

If I ever heard of this guy before I might be inclined to listen.

If he was Jim Jordan or Louie Gohmert, I might care, because they have been on the front lines. This guy’s just a douche from nowhere trying to get his bonafides cheaply.

The House abandoned their elected place of duty, they should be present to do their jobs or resign. They have already intentionally damaged the country through their impeachment proceedings when Schiff (Intel Comm) probably told Pelosi to go ahead with the articles that became DOA in the Senate, because they could distract the administration from handling this imminent health crisis and damage the economy. And even several days delay will not prevent the embedded financial distributors from doing the preparatory programming to broadcast away our financial future. Everyday Americans have been badly used either way, the majority of politicians have shown their corruption and have earned our disdain.

This man will not be primaried out of office. We love the guy here in the 4th district. You can always tell how he will vote by asking yourself What Would the Constitution Have Him Do. I’ve never seen any politician such a slave to the constitution. I like the guy to replace McConnell when he retires. F Congress, they should have been Washington anyway. If necessary, during this crisis, let them social distance themselves in a warehouse in Winnemucca so the little darlins will be safe.

drawing calls from the White House to throw him out of the Republican Party.

Can't agree with President Trump on this. There is a lot of garbage in this bill (and plenty of good stuff too of course), and the bill will pass overwhelmingly any ways. The guy wants to put his objections to the bill on record. So why make a fuss oer this?

If getting us into $6 trillion more debt doesn’t matter, then why are we not getting $350 trillion more in debt so that we can give a check of $1 million to every person in the country?

Kind of hard to argue with him here, but I wish he wouldn't give that Nobel Laureate in Economics Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez any ideas.

It’s the call to throw him out of the party that bothers me the most about Trump’s statement.

Once the bill passes (overwhelmingly) and the president signs it into law, no one will care about Pelosi, McConnell, Massie or any other member of Congress. As President of the United States, you sign it, you own it.

Doesn’t no roll call mean they can hide behind their vote?

I agree, this is a very costly stunt perpetrated by a guy who wants the wrong kind of recognition. This is all a political show and, up to today Pelosii was the class clown and she was bringing her party with her.

Massey now turns that on its head for some unknown reason. The people will remember him and it will be forever a Republican held up the bill for his own satisfaction.
