Herd immunity? more like herd stupidity.
I was young and stupid, but I was NEVER THAT STUPID!.....................
Never underestimate the poor decision making capacity of youth.
Dont peop,e have MEASAL partie for kids??
If one is infected because he or she caught it then there’s at least another one who had it and passed it.
So, the flu is also been out for decades. Did we say people were stupid for going to sporting events, parties, or other public outings??
No? Then I think the idiots are those that denounce these kids.
I guess the joke’s on them.
Even the great leader King David later wrote in the Psalms: “Forgive me O Lord, for the foolishness of my youth”.
“I was young and stupid, but I was NEVER THAT STUPID!.....................”
When I was a kid we had mumps parties!
Demonstrates the intellect of those who elected this Communist hick governor.
It’s all about not overloading our medical facilities.
“Oh, you’re concerned and worried, well I’m more concerned and worried than you are because I’m a better person! “
And there it is. A great part of this national freakout are Nanny-Staters wanting to tell us how to live our lives and how they care about us more than we do.
If needed, NONE OF THEM should get a ventilator. Why give precious resources to sociopaths like this?
Thats a good point. Theres something idiotic and pathetic about people even here on FR complaining about young people on beaches 2,000 miles away.
Dont be so callous as to intentionally go to something and expose yourself to something that could kill other people,...”
really like drive a car?
it’s far more frightening to me that this guy is “livid” over this. that’s the mark of a control freak.
you’re not going to stop all young folks from doing dumb things unless you want to take a tyrant’s stand. but a tyrant can sure stop them from learning from their mistakes.
They do have pox parties (also flu, measles parties etc.). It’s a social activity where children are deliberately exposed to an infectious disease. Such parties were done before vaccines were available to, “get it over with,” or because it was believed childhood disease would be less severe than disease as an adult. For example, measles is more dangerous to adults than to children over 5 years old. Nowadays pox parties are typically organized by anti-vaccers who believe that vaccination is more dangerous than contracting the disease. Deliberately exposing people to diseases is discouraged by public health officials in favor of vaccination. Flu parties are also sometimes done. There exist variations of pox parties that involve shipping infectious material. In many parts of the world shipping infectious items is illegal or tightly regulated.
well, governor, if the kid rapidly recovers....I’m not so sure he’s done a disservice.
think about it.
Jonathan Edwards died of the smallpox vaccine.
Just saying.
