FDA Must Approve Hydroxychloroquine Now
American Thinker ^ | March 22,2020 | By Andrew Longman

being lied to about the drugs that heal COVID19.

America's FDA, and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, are dragging their feet on approving a drug that provides very strong positive effect on COVID19.

Fauci, speaking from the White House, said on the matter of approving Hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin:

Official government guidance to doctors! From the world's most populous nation! With the largest COVID19 infection! Which has shown the largest drop in caseload! This is "anecdotal evidence" to Dr. Fauci and America's FDA. These imbeciles are so busy making the paperwork go faster for you (while America plunges into the grave, and the fix is on the shelf at Walmart?) that they are incapable of noticing anything that happens outside the beltway. But don't you feel better that he has a Medal of Freedom? And that a month from now, he'll get back to you about that pill-thing?

Two national governments, multiple peer reviewed studies, a clinical trial, the most prestigious journals - these are not high-enough for Mr. Medal Dr. MD-PhD Fauci. He's above all that. Maybe the type of the research - performed by your beltway buddies - dismissing the work of the French, the Chinese, and the Belgians - is more important than ten thousand innocent lives plunging into the mass-grave dug with a back-hoe? After all, you're big MF, MD-PhD, on TV! The standards must be impossibly high.

So high the little people can't meet them.

While thousands of Americans lie dying, the citizens of Belgium and France and China are given Hydroxychloroquine and are recovering. Having gotten off their butts and done the research those nations, while Fauci and FDA was strutting around wondering how to fill out paperwork faster, deserve credit for publishing actionable scientific conclusions.

compassionate use

"Compassionate use" is for unlicensed drugs.

Hydroxychloroquine has been licensed since 1955, compassionate use would be unnecessary.

New York, Australia, and where else?

Could you compile a list, and the protocols?

What’s the process to get a drug that is not approved for a specific disease, approved under’compassionate use’?

Fauci was a Trump cheerleader on FNC tonight. He deflated all the MSM attack naaratives.

Many doctors still don’t know about it and don’t want to know about it. For a doctor to prescribe it, the doctor must do so on a “compassionate” basis, which word is irrelevant. The doctor must fill out forms amounting to a research report and send them to a federal office—not something that most doctors want to do, at least not in slow moving rural areas and some small town hospitals.

The guy absolutely changes his tune to match the venue. Levin would rip
Him to pieces if he did his MSNBC act and he knew it.

I prescribed it yesterday for a COVID-19 patient. It is written standard of care at the University of Washington, Mass General, and everywhere else.

Glad to hear it. I’m guessing you can’t disclose much. I’d love to know how your patient is feeling in 5-6 days.

I just get concerned that some like Ohio seem to be intentionally discouraging doctors from prescribing. They aren’t stopping it, except prophylactic and COVID test must be confirmed (not suspected). It’s very disconcerting to see our health director saying that it is only for life or death situations.

The CDC office folks want to see experiments to establish perfect doses first and have said that the wrong doses might “do more harm than good.”

Will any GP have the authority to prescribe it’s use as an off-label medication?

You can but assume liability risk of course. There are variations in dose.

They're only talking bout a 6 day course at 600 mg (3 divided 200mg doses) for the most part-- followed by the Z-pack. The lion's share of unwanted reactions comes with much longer courses and/or higher doses.

And unusual "special cases" --- which is why you don't want to self-treat. You're gonna need a prescription.

Personal note, I was on 2x 200mg doses daily for 15 years for rheumatoid arthritis. My rheumatologist gave me quarterly blood and urine tests to monitor my levels, and I had a yearly ophthalmologist appt to check for retinopathy. Never had the least problem.

Unfortunately, scientific proof comes slowly. Doctors are using anecdotal evidence of what works and what doesn’t.

A plant in Morgantown, WV is ramping up production of HCQ as we write. They say it will be in production this week.

Oh no, we can’t find a cure this soon, the democraps and the MSM have not done enough damage to Trump & the economy. Meanwhile Pelosi is buying more time and trying to grab some gloey. The bipartisan plan heading to the senate was derailed because she wants to create a plan and take credit.

She needs to be arrested immediately for endangering lives. Of course she still hasn’t lined up enough pork yet, another reason for the delay

Well, then, there’s probably going to be a lot of ‘doctor shopping’.
