Donald Trump has controversially labeled the coronavirus the 'Chinese Virus' in a tweet in which he promised to protect American industry from the economic crisis caused by the pathogen.
Instead of calling the deadly disease which has killed 6,500 worldwide by its designated name COVID-19, the president risked accusations of playing to his base by appearing to lay the blame for the virus at Beijing's door.
Despite the fact that the virus is believed to have originated in Wuhan, China, the World Health Organization does not attach geographic names to diseases or 'terms that incite undue fear'.

Maybe he’s playing to the base. Or, maybe he’s annoyed with the Chinese fairy tale they’ve been pushing that we sourced the virus and inserted it into Wuhan. I read he met with the Chinese Ambassador and gave him a what-for. This might be related.

1. By all indicators, this virus originated in CHINA
2. By all indicators, CHINA covered up the rapid spread and deaths for an extended time - and continued to hide the real details even after it made the news. They also refused help from the US and other countries to help stop it.
3. CHINA could have stopped travel OUT of the country, but instead left it to other countries to restrict travel.
