The mayor of Champaign, Illinois, gave herself the power to ban the sale of guns and alcohol after declaring a citywide emergency to address the coronavirus.
Mayor Deborah Frank Feinen signed the executive order on Thursday declaring a state of emergency for the city. That executive order, which is in line with municipal code, comes with extraordinary powers for the mayor to enact over a short period of time as the city combats the spread of the coronavirus.

What is the crime rate for Champaign, Ill. and what type of weapons are used? Any recent terrorist attacks by white power groups, the KKK, BLM, Antifa, Al Sharpton’s mobs, Bernie Sander stormtroopers, ISIS, etc.?
I think this Champaign has spoiled. More like Vinegar, Ill. now.

Not to mention, the majority of those who “die from the flu” are older with serious health conditions. But their copd didn’t kill them because they had a pos flu test. Attributing those deaths to the flu is financially rewarding to a lot of industries. An entire population of people are forcefully vaccinated against it every year and still get the flu.
Imagine the meltdown in this country if there were 55,000 Wuhan-19 deaths?

why did this hysteria not exist on this scale during the swine flu where 14000 in this country died, or the typical flu season every year where thousands die?

Where are these “millions dead” estimates coming from? There is only 6,500 deaths worldwide.
China had 3,000 deaths out of 80,000 infected.
South Korea had 8,000 cases and only 75 deaths.
Italy has a higher death rate, but that’s because their population is much older. Italy’s average age is 10 years older than the US.
The state is actually pro-2. Chitcago & Champagne (University of Illinoise) being the huge exceptions.

It’s difficult to coerce armed citizens.
My youngest is in school in Champaign and I travel there occasionally to pick her up. There’s a large ghetto section of that town and the nice mayor would be wise to clean that mess up with her decree. Will it happen? Of course not. Virtue signalling is as easy as a click of the mouse and not much more.
The order also allows her to confiscate any private property she wants. That would include guns.
