It’s not unusual for folks this age to just up and die. Thats scary, since i’m close to that age...

If they gave same care to elderly they give the younger, they would get better too at a higher rate.

An 89 year old man at Kirkland got virus, but his 2 sons went there immediately and in front of press spoke to dad on cells through windows. He has recovered.

Bet they did not ignore the old man like they usually do with that kind of publicity.

One obvious thing to keep in mind on the age thing. The figure come almost exclusively from a strike on a nursing home. The denizens are almost certainly going to be on the high side of 60 (with a few exceptions).
It’s not surprising so many victims were old as seniors the pretty much all that was served up at the virus’ “smorgasbord”.
Although, in the Wash facilities it also takes down a number of younger people who were employees leaving them in various conditions, it didn’t kill as many.
If this thing starts hitting hospitals it will affect a larger cross-section of ages.

Info from China is lies , and from Iran is chaos, so Italy and now Spain will give a bigger picture. Drs in Italy report many younger patients fighting for their lives. Old people are no longer receiving intensive support.
Too many millenials are being lured into thinking they are not in great danger. Unfortunately too many are acting on their own perceived low risk, not on the overall social risk. Even expressing an attitude that maybe nature is just culling the human species so too bad but oh well,

The Wu Flu is going to worse than the flu for a few weeks/months in the US. Our hospitals are outstanding and are more up to dealing with this. Sadly, we’ll be dealing with the economic carnage caused by Q Flu mania for many years.
