Man, the evergreen state (for marihuana now not the trees), seems to be the hot spot. There are thousands from the Far East in that town. Bringing in the diseases of the planet, right in the front door.

“...Semi sarcasm but you never know: Deep state plot to kill off the boomers and bring about a socialist government ASAP....”

FWIW, some far-fetched, tin-foil types have foisted the idea that it was engineered right here in the good, old USofA, either sold to, or stolen by, Chinese spies...knowing full well they didn’t have the proper protocols to handle it. Other tin-foilers suggest that the DS shadow govt (Odongo/John Brennan, Inc.) smuggled into Wuhan to cover their tracks (because of the biolab located there) to make it look like it originated from there. All of it to create what we now see going on in the world...all in an effort to take out the POTUS on the next election by killing off most of his base. IF any of that tin-foil crap happens to come forth to be true, it just goes to show how sick these MFers really are. And IF true, they should be hunted down like the evil animals they are, injected with the crap and locked in an isolation cage somewhere to rot away to nothing because shooting and/or hanging is too damn good for em.

Wouldn’t you know that the great Sharyl Atkinson is the one who begins to report this story the way we want to read it? John Solomon’s new news site could succeed if more writers of her caliber contribute.

What will this do to the federal judiciary? November election is key. Look at the ages... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_United_States_circuit_judge

I looked at their ages. The majority were over 60. I counted 64 under 60.

Whoever designed this one inserted HIV which actually takes down the immune system. While this might save the young and healthy in the short run, it may leave them with lasting repercussions, tbd, and much less immune stamina to fight off subsequent reinfections

This. Thank you for saying better than I can.

Much we don't know about this yet.

Why on earth would you think we will need this many ventilators AND ICU beds MOST people are recovering at home with mild conditions!! The big job here is for families to take care of their elderly run their errands cancel their Dr. appointments go to the pharmacy for them ect. Be very careful of who gets around them!!

I certainly hope that this doesn’t overload our healthcare system. But far more knowledgeable people than I obviously think that it can; otherwise we wouldn’t be seeing all the action taken that we do, to try and flatten the ‘peak’.

And it isn’t just old people - lots of younger people have issues that could seriously complicate the disease, especially asthma which many, many young people suffer.

I appreciate sarcasm as much as the next guy but you do realize I was saying it attacks those who are the least able to fight it. Yes, I know, Capt. Obvious.

In Ohio, there would be no deaths, as none are recorded.

There was a death in Washington yesterday of a 60 year old woman who was still working, went home with flu symptoms, and was found dead at home the next day. It was reported locally as Covid-19.

It appears not to be listed here. Maybe it was determined it was the flu and not Covid-19

Contrary to the panicking internet images of people dead at their work stations, Those viral images were taken from horror movies! COVID-19 simply does not kill that fast. Nor does the flu.. If she died as reported, it’s likely she died from a heart attack or some other problem.

Not entirely true. The 1919 flu outbreak, for example.

No, the 1918 influenza outbreak still killed far greater numbers of older people and those who were already medically compromised, and thus weaker, than those who were young and physically fit and more capable of fighting it off. It was not a truly high mortality rate infection, nor one that afflicted every person infected to the same degree. The point is the better shape one is in, physically, organically, and in what stage of life, determines one’s body’s system’s ability to both resist and recover from diseases. The outbreak in 1918 was no different. Incidentally, this is true of toxins as well. A dosage that will kill a fit elderly person might not kill a fit younger person of the same body mass.

On the other hand, older people have gained a lifetime of exposure to a far greater variety of pathogens and their immune systems may be able to modify an existing antigen from an earlier encounter to a newly mutated bug’s ancestor more easily to counter the worst effects of the new strain’s efforts, slowing its assault on the cells of the body, giving more time for a proper defense to be mounted.
