Every time he shows an earnest of concern the stock market takes it as a foreshadowing of disaster.
The Democrats will pile on the president no matter what he does. They hate him and want him to go away, simple as that. There will be severe pain to the economy and the markets as the number of cases increase, which is inevitable. But at some point in the not too distant future this will end and the markets and economy will come roaring back. The Democrats hope this will not be until after the election. The odds are it will be months before.

Rush is a ‘politically-minded’ creature. He’s always been very good at what he does, but I don’t expect him to be an expert on infectious disease, and I don’t take advice from him in that area.
A lot of the people here seem to think the same way, though - some of us are so entrenched in ‘conspiracy’ thinking, we see that in every event.
Not the time. Right now, the vast majority of people, Republicans, Democrats, liberals, conservatives, have much bigger worries, yes even if this is all some conspiracy to "Get Trump", that doesn't matter right now.

The idea of this National Emergency is so our Health Facilities don’t get overwhelmed....it’s important that does not happen.

The market may drop hard depending on how many draconian measures are contained in this national emergency protocol. So don’t be surprised if the Dow Jones goes south in the last hour of trading today. It is what it is, and we just have to endure the short-term punishment. I’m holding on to my portfolio which is well-balanced as my retirement is years away. This too shall pass, and markets will come roaring back.
