With the economy taking a dump they’ll charge a dollar for plastic bags instead of fifteen cents.

this is an opening...maybe we can blame the ban on plastic bags for the spread of the coronavirus!

The other “green” thing are those annoying faucets that only work for a short time and never get you warm water. And the hot air blowers.

Bing bing bing! Somebody who’s willing to say that banning plastic bags can cause all sorts of health problems.

indoor plumbing with a flush toilet, dishwashers, toilet paper, disposables from utensils to paper plates and bags have done an enormous job of reducing communicable disease.

So, naturally the left wants to fix what works and is not broken.

When I hear about 'well meaning' people and unintended consequences I think of the Golgafrinchan.

The Golgafrinchan decided to rid their plant of useless middle men including telephone sanitizers and they sent them into space on the B Ark.

The Golgafrinchan were then wiped by a virulent disease contracted from dirty telephones.

Thank you, John Tiernay, for telling it like it is! Bring back those thin, pliable bags we all came to depend on! Let’s return to pre-Rachel Carson era.

I’ve never seen a single use plastic bag. Mine all serve duty for 5 or 6 rounds. Trash, separating foods in the freezer, keeping old equipment with its specialized adapters, holding meds when I travel, ferrying food from the pantry, and endlessly in the garden and yard.

Wife was using reusable bags for a while - once she discovered they really needed to be washed after every use, she started using them to store things in the back of her SUV for easy access - cleaning supplies, rags, etc.

Time for Cuomo to use his brain about the bags. The CDC should nail his a** on this one.

I mention this every time the subject comes up. To late. People have been propagandized another fad lie. Maybe this will wake them up. Doubtful....

If you are unfortunate enough to live in a place that bans plastic grocery bags, you can no longer call yourself American. You no longer live in America
