Not “panic pushing”, and it’s not just the risk of death, which is roughly 3.4% average - although certainly higher and up to 15% for those over 80. It’s the 1 in 5 risk for most people - not just the elderly or those with pre-existing conditions that will wind up needing serious hospitalization (likely ICU) and quite possibly / probably intubation.
A 20% chance of serious hospitalization and potential long-term damage to organs that is irreparable is a pretty big deal.
(And before anyone cries “fearmongering”, that’s all easily Google-able and I posted a link earlier today to Fauci saying exactly that standing next to Trump and Pence at one of their many press conferences).
Pray this works.

So for whatever reason..they carry a genetic code in common.
Thus, it is possible other codes might be similar as it pertains to this group.
If you wanted to create a bioweapon you would certainly be looking at genetic codes.

I spent 2-1/2 years in Italy - didn’t see what you describe (other than a number of retirees that fell in love with it while stationed there - but that’s not a huge part of the population).
