Lot of Chinese came back there after Chinese New Year celebrations. There was a huge ‘family potluck’ dinner in Wuhan. Millions of people fled that city when word of a lockdown went out. Disbursed the population.
Italy hit hard but will spread to the rest of Europe. They had to shut down because the hospital system is overwhelmed.

It is fairly certain now the victims of the disease are predominantly seniors in their 80s and 90s and persons with pre-existing conditions that make them vulnerable.
