An Ohio Democrat Councilwoman has been arrested and faces federal charges after she was accused of trying to sell votes for money. In particular, one vote may have sold for $15,000. Her name is Tamaya Dennard and she could face up to 50 years in jail and the mayor is also calling on her to refute the charges or resign from her position.

......”She wouldnt have had a chance in Judge Joes court”....
Clearly she had better attire...
“she was named one of the Forty Under 40 Leaders to Watch”
In this case, “watch” = “go undercover for the purpose of spying”.
She won't get that.
Looks like she had plenty of cash left over for food though...
and a $4000. vacation.
It appears she was caught because the person she was bribing was talking to the FBI early on....and then there’s the other charges. She’ll do a deal of some sort of course as she hasn’t denied the charges.
Small fine, community service.
“she could face up to 50 years in jail”
But she won’t spend a day in jail.
She will get less time than Stone..if she gets any time.
too many of these newly elected black officials are simply too stupid and/or too ignorant to practice bribery and theft in public office without getting caught, even though the rules of corruption-without-going-to-jail are simple and well known ... i lay the problem to the failure of the government school systems in the inner cities ...
Relax Mayor. It’s only a resume enhancer. Just doing what dumos do.
“In 2014, she was named one of the Forty Under 40 Leaders to Watch in Cincinnati by the Cincinnati Business Courier .... in 2017, Tamaya received the Affirmed Award from the Urban League Young Professionals of Greater Southwestern Ohio....... In 2018, Tamaya received the NAACP Theodore M. Berry Award.” ... In 2020, she was arrested for selling her votes for cash ...
quite the CV, right?
Time will certainly tell...
