An Ohio Democrat Councilwoman has been arrested and faces federal charges after she was accused of trying to sell votes for money. In particular, one vote may have sold for $15,000. Her name is Tamaya Dennard and she could face up to 50 years in jail and the mayor is also calling on her to refute the charges or resign from her position.

According to a certain judge, taking bribes is part of her job and so she should not be punished for it.
No get out of jail free please......examples must be set.
In 2014, she was named one of the Forty Under 40 Leaders to Watch in Cincinnati by the Cincinnati Business Courier .... in 2017, Tamaya received the Affirmed Award from the Urban League Young Professionals of Greater Southwestern Ohio....... In 2018, Tamaya received the NAACP Theodore M. Berry Award.
Dennard was arrested Tuesday ‘in the Downtown Starbucks’
She is charged with wire fraud, punishable by up to 20 years in prison; ...bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds, punishable by up to 10 years in prison;.... and attempted extortion punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

If you have seen the movie, “Quest for Fire”, she looks like one of the “Mugaboos”, hiding behind the tree root. The one to her right, is the first Mugaboo to appear. Damn, what a bunch of rough looking women.

I’d say grammar is not her strong suit.
Joseph A. Jordan Jr. was a District Court Judge in Norfolk, VA. He did not tolerate sloppily attired people in his court. He would kick slobs out of the court room. She wouldn’t have had a chance in Judge Joe’s court.
Fwiw, Joe Jordan was a black disabled veteran than didn’t let his color or disability hold him back.
