A German teenager dubbed the anti-Greta climate sceptics answer to the schoolgirl activist Greta Thunberg is set to address the biggest annual gathering of US grassroots conservatives.
Naomi Seibt, 19, who styles herself as a climate sceptic or climate realist, will this week address the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) near Washington, joining speakers including Donald Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence.
Seibt is in the pay of the Heartland Institute, a thinktank closely allied with the White House that denies established science showing humans are heating the planet with dangerous consequences.
CPAC will be the biggest stage yet for Seibt, a so-called YouTube influencer who tells her followers Thunberg and other activists are whipping up unnecessary hysteria by exaggerating the climate crisis. Advertisement
Climate change alarmism at its very core is a despicably anti-human ideology, she has said.
The teenager, from Münster in western Germany, claims she is without an agenda, without an ideology. But she was pushed into the limelight by leading figures on the German far right and her mother, a lawyer, has represented politicians from the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party in court.

For something even more bizzare, I noticed this at the bottom of the article in the guardian. Their effort to save the world in their own hypocritical way:
....on our progress as an organisation. In service of the escalating climate emergency, we have made an important decision to renounce fossil fuel advertising, becoming the first major global news organisation to institute an outright ban on taking money from companies that extract fossil fuels.
In October we outlined our pledge: that the Guardian will give global heating, wildlife extinction and pollution the urgent attention and prominence they demand. This resonated with so many readers around the world. We promise to update you on the steps we take to hold ourselves accountable at this defining point in our lifetimes. With climate misinformation rife, and never more dangerous than now, the Guardian’s accurate, authoritative reporting is vital and we will not stay quiet.
We chose a different approach: to keep Guardian journalism open for all. We don’t have a paywall because we believe everyone deserves access to factual information, regardless of where they live or what they can afford to pay.
Our editorial independence means we are free to investigate and challenge inaction by those in power. We will inform our readers about threats to the environment based on scientific facts, not driven by commercial or political interests. And we have made several important changes to our style guide to ensure the language we use accurately reflects the environmental emergency.
The Guardian believes that the problems we face on the climate crisis are systemic and that fundamental societal change is needed. We will keep reporting on the efforts of individuals and communities around the world who are fearlessly taking a stand for future generations and the preservation of human life on earth. We want their stories to inspire hope.
We hope you will consider supporting us today. We need your support to keep delivering quality journalism thats open and independent. Every reader contribution, however big or small, is so valuable.
Sort of like JP Morgan Chase not loaning money to any entity with intentions of ruining the tundra. Or something. Dumbassery abounds.
I hope Naomi has a small, well trained security group around her at all times during her lectures. The Greens talk about nature and love, but they can be dangerously intolerant to opposing views being expressed.

How has that worked out for the restaurants that tried the Pay what you can afford business model? It almost smacks of From each according to...
Get ready for PBS-style pledge drives at The Guardian.
The only such pledge drives I support are the ones that champion Liberty, Freedom, God, and Guns. As we all know, theres only one of those.
Well, apparently they are ‘woke’ and have smelled the dung fires that provide power for their mud publishing huts.

She’s a cute young girl, who has her face on straight.
She makes Greta look like a Cabbage Patch Kid
Oh my!
I love it when The Guardian gets their knickers in a twist.
Totally not guilty!
Water vapor is probably the controlling factor...
She looks a tad inbred
Ya know Keep the damn Kids out of this! It’s just plain stupid to have my kid is smarter than your kid crap going on!
Is there not 1 notable Scientist(s) that could have explained this farce at CPAC!
Yep, no bias on the Guardian's part.
Seibt seems to be a far more normal teen than the mentally troubled Greta who was described by the French philosopher Michel Onfray as a cyborg ignoring emotion no smile, no laugh, no astonishment, no amazement, no pain, no joy.
Just anger.
“..Just anger....”
Which she seems to be able to turn on/off at a moment’s demand.
Like an trained actress, one might say... or a trained monkey.
And Greta is as fake as a Cabbage Patch Doll...and as dumb, too...
