Ocasio Cortez Close To LOSING Her Seat In Congress, Bail Reform BACKFIRED And Democrats Declare War. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has been waging a massive battle against establishment Democrats for some time now and they have responded in kind. The far left candidate has seen her popularity collapse in national polls and swing state polls and her recent push for bail reform in new York has backfired tremendously with a massive 43 point swing from favorable to unfavorable. Now she is facing a major challenge in the upcoming primary which is in only 4 months and Democrats are poised to eliminate her district outright in the 2020 census. AOC has poked the bear and the bear is poking back and it seems likely she won’t survive her reelection. But her victory was a fluke and now the american people have a chance to respond.

Unfortunate. She made everyone in the GOP look great. Hate to see her go. She was a walking/talking advertisement for voting Republican.
She is immature and has more important things to do than ribbon cuttings on the weekend or attend meetings with her constituents. I read she almost never shows up anywhere in her district to do the hard, thankless work of shaking hands and giving remarks at dinners, district events and pays absolutely no attention to her voters.
That spells defeat. And when she loses, the dem establishment will be much wiser the next time she runs for something.
New York will be losing one or two seats after the 2020 census. Anyway, I read last week, she is not tending to her district, which means she is ripe for defeat in the primary.

AOC isn’t going to be successfully primaried this year, and it’s a landslide Democrat seat in the general election.
Given her sharp elbows, it would be very easy for the legislature to break up her district in 2021. It was a gerrymander for a purpose that has expired (re-electing Joe Crowley) and with a means (pairing high-turnout 2d/3rd generation white ethnic precincts with low turnout hispanic precincts) that is defunct with the white ethnic neighborhoods becoming heavily 1st generation Asian and CIS/Russian immigrants.
However, AOC would easily stay in office because Nydia Velazquez’s district is easy pickings - it was built as a Hispanic district but has gentrified to include tons of leftist white people who would vote AOC in a landslide, while AOC would get enough of the hispanic vote to win in a walk.
Look forward to her back using her jigger and shaker REAL soon! The only job she’s qualified for.
