GENEVA (Reuters) - The World Health Organization no longer uses the term pandemic, but the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak remains an international emergency that is likely to spread further, a spokesman said on Monday.

yet here is the "Pandemic" levels on their website for the flu https://www.who.int/influenza/resources/documents/pandemic_phase_descriptions_and_actions.pdf
Just heard this. This is an insane and dangerous decision.
I’m stunned.
Dow futures are down 832 points this morning no matter how its labeled. This is taking Trumps line of hows your 401ks doing away from him. Libs are ecstatic Im sure.
The word pandemic is offensive to Panamanians and Zamphire.
Those who control language seek to control thought.
One of my favorite examples:

We dont have anything to worry about. All asians act in a responsible manner and we couldnt possibly catch it from them. So says an idiot on another thread. So dont worry about it spreading.
They wont spread it .
And all those 5 million Wuhan escapees before lockdown are self quarantining themselves somewhere. Never to spread it. Ahem..
Same people that decided to change “terrorist attack” to “man-caused disaster” are at work here.

WHO has been carrying China’s water, complementing the Xi regime at every opportunity. China wants travel and commerce to re-commence as their economy, and thus, Xi’s continued hold on power, is at stake. Xi doesn’t care how many foreigners die as a result. (I don’t think Trump will be fooled. But he will face renewed attacks from our press for being “unreasonable.”)
Damn! That was close!
I knew us panic-driven extremists were wrong claiming this would be a pandemic. Close call, nearly was one.
...but all is well now! LOL.
“yet here is the “Pandemic” levels on their website”
For what it’s worth, dictionary.com’s definition of ‘pandemic’ is that it is widespread — over a continent or multiple continents. Nothing about its seriousness.
what is the leading factor in dying from the corona virus?
Beck said it was communism. if you get the corona virus and you are in a communist country, you are more likely to die from it.
like 90% of the casualties are from communist countries.
It’s a burgeoning PANDEMIC, and is a VERY LONG WAY from even peaking. Screw the commie WHO.
Abe Lincoln once asked his son Tad, “if you call a tail a leg, how many legs does a dog have?”
Tad thought about it a moment and replied “5.”
Lincoln replied “It has 4, calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg.”...
I only saw -807. What was the lowest number it dropped to?
The average voter will not blame Trump for a pandemic; especially one that originated in China. In fact, the Dims are now accusing Trump of racism for wanting to halt people coming into the country from China. Their woke rejection of common sense quarantine rules will remind everyone of how worse the spread of the disease will be if we ever get a Prog in the White House.
Revelation 6:1-6. I’m sensing.
They are frantically paging through a Thesaurus to find another suitable politically correct non defamatory 'safe' word.
Yea!They no longer use the word Pandemicany more than they use the word Chinese flu.
They cant hurt anyones feelings.
“like 90% of the casualties are from communist countries.”
Let’s chat about the number this time next year.
