Bernie Sanders Goes 1-2-3 in Early States — First Time Ever
Breitbart ^ | 22 Feb 2020 | Joel B. Pollak

Posted on 02/22/2020 8:22:18 PM PST by E. Pluribus Unum

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) can claim to have won the popular vote in each of the first three early states in the Democratic Party presidential primary with his victory in Nevada on Saturday night.

It is the first time a candidate for any major party’s nomination has won the popular vote in all three of the first states.

FOR THE FIRST TIME: A (Dem or GOP) candidate (Sanders) has won the popular vote in all 3 early states: Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada.

— Political Polls (@PpollingNumbers) February 22, 2020

Sanders won the popular vote in Iowa, though former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg claimed victory in state delegate equivalents. (After a partial re-canvas of the state, that claim now appears to be somewhat in doubt; the final result in delegate terms may be closer to a tie.) Sanders later won the New Hampshire primary outright, albeit by a much smaller margin than in 2016.

But the win in Nevada is different. The margin — based on initial returns — seems very large. And Sanders has now won a state with a significant Latino population. Former Vice President Joe Biden considers South Carolina his “firewall,” based on his popularity with African American voters. But Sanders has been closing the gap there in recent polls, and there is a chance he could win there also.

Opposition to Sanders within the Democratic Party remains strong. There are serious doubts about whether he would be able to defeat President Donald Trump in a general election. His “democratic socialism” is a fringe left-wing philosophy.

But it would be had to deny the nomination to a candidate who had swept the first three contests — and, quite possibly, the fourth.

If it was certain he couldn’t win, there wouldn’t be an election

Cheating will be rampant unless even dems don’t want bernie to win.

And I think we are lying to ourselves about that.

The white college student/grad voter turnout will be yuge.

Enough to offset the other groups going for Trump. Not likely.

But this isn’t over.

That a socialist can get the nod of a major party in prosperous times is bad enough.

Funny thing is powerful and rich dems may take note of what happens to folks like them under socialist regimes.

That may wake them up.

Always remember! Never ever trust a ‘rat. I figure President Trump will have to win by at least 5 points to overcome voter fraud.

Not a prediction...just a thought:

1. The DNC allows Bernie to get the nomination in Milwaukee (to avoid bloodshed)
2. The DNC forces to select a deep state approved candidate for VP (in order to get DNC funding and support)
3. Bernie suffers a stroke/heart attack in August
4. DNC votes to elevate the VP candidate to Presidential candidate to replace incapacitated Bernie.

“His “democratic socialism” is a fringe left-wing philosophy.”

Not so sure about that. Most Democrats I know are pretty socialist. The press is definitely socialist, certainly the NYT and NBC.

God knows, the ranks of college professors are outright socialists, at the very least, and stand ready to form Bernie’s praetorian guard the minute he’s elected.

I say it’s high time we had this thing out. Mano a mano. Trump vs. Sanders for the future of the nation.

Let’s get it on.

Many young people are starry-eyed about socialism. They actually believe that taking money from billionaires will provide for everybody else, without having to work for it.

It's easy for us to laugh about Breadline Bernie and cheer him on during the Democrat primaries as he clobbers Biden, Buttgieg, Warren and the rest of the contemptible Democrat field.

But Bernie will drive a record turnout of college-age kids in November who otherwise wouldn't have bothered voting. They will want to stick it to the establishment just like many of us did in 2016 by voting for Trump. Plus they think their college loans will magically disappear.

We will need all hands on deck for November.

I saw a funny clip tonight. Two Left-wing journalists on TV were discussing Nevada —

First: “For goodness sake, Sanders is a Socialist!”
Second: “Democratic Socialist.”
First: “Whatever.”

He wont get the majority of the delegates though

Bloomberg will get a decent amount and Biden will stay in until the end to try to help stop him getting the majority of the delegates

plus the others staying in will hurtt him too..Warren in MA and Klobuchar in MN will steal delegates in those states that should go to Bernie

plus the super delegate issue

"But Bernie will drive a record turnout of college-age kids in November who otherwise wouldn't have bothered voting."

Many of our fellow Republicans have been warned about how their support for public education and the socialists of feminism would come back to bite them. They should have listened. Now, there's little time left for them to see the light and straighten up.

[In entrance polls on Saturday, the Vermont senator carried many important demographic groups, including both men and women, people across education levels, and, crucially, among Latino voters:

Sanders lead in #NVCaucus initial preference also driven by non-white caucus goers, particularly Nevada Latinos... pic.twitter.com/Ul0aJ5fRUw

One possible reason:

At Cashman Middle School off the strip, Spanish-speaking Latino voters were asked why they supported Bernie and they said “Honestly, he’s the only one we see on TV and in Spanish ads.”

I’m a broken record on Latino investment, but it’s important. Speak to voters where they are.

It’s not that the rank & file of the Regressive ‘RAT party disagree with Comrade Bernie’s hard core Communism...it’s that he’s so open about what they all truly believe.

Let’s take the threat seriously, but America is not going to elect a 78 y/o assclown who combs his hair with a balloon.

I blame Bush-Cheney-McCain for the new popularity of socialism. Young people have been watching the federal government since Bush spend trillions of dollars on Middle East wars and National-Building. Seeing all those tax dollars spent on the other side of the world, they don’t buy the idea we can’t “afford d” to pay for health care and education here at home.

“ Many of our fellow Republicans have been warned about how their support for public education and the socialists of feminism would come back to bite them. ”

No I think it’s the GOP’s support for costly endless wars and Middle East nation building - which are just anothe expensive federal program. Young people see that and ask, why can’t the federal govt spend money on “nation building” in America?

Indeed, we’ve been paying for health care in Iraq. Why not here at home? Many kids are asking precisely that - esp ones who’ve had friends sent overseas or have been there themselves.

The federal govt can blow $7 trillion in the Middle East - but it “can’t afford” to do health care in America? That’s the thinking that Bush-Cheney helped give rise to

He’s not getting a majority, he`s just managing to get more votes than the next guy.

And they didnt really report iowa popular votes before, because that isnt important in weighted caucuses
