They’re going to need a bigger Flit Gun. ????
I swear, it’s just depression how much damage the Woke Folk do.
I wonder if some A hole, somewhere, has figured this might be one way to help get the earths population, down to about 500 million?
I wonder if the old vilified DDT would work in this circumstance?
When I drive through the farmland of the central valley and see all of the agriculture it never ceases to amaze me. As I drive and listen to country music or talk radio I’m immersed in prayer. And then when I’m at the supermarket and see the bounty then I’m humbled. Thank God and God bless America.
why Africa with all the riches beneath their feet cannot find their way out. A little western civilization would do them good
Eat the bugs.
I thought Ethiopia had this same problem years ago immediately after becoming a communist country. What a co-inky-dink!
From the article the UN are the worst locusts.
Recommendations dont go far enough.
Let Africa Sink

Africa has locusts, we have Liberals.`
perhaps even roasting and eating them, under UN-approved nutrition programs.
You have to have UN approval to eat a locust?
Can you name any country that has practiced voodoo type religions and prospered? Haiti anyone?
the fact that Africa is Africa can’t be covered up
I roll my eyes and shake my head; but I’m not surprised. This is how the Left makes its rules. Unintended consequences be damned.
A few errors noted (beside the point, I know):
“hoards” should be “hordes”
“past history” (what other kind of history is there?)
“Kenyatta”, president of Kenya since 2103 (back to the future)
If it gets bad enough, will we see “The Camp of the Saints”?
Paging DD214.

I had been hired to fly a helicopter carrying two British ornithologists over central Tanzania at very low altitudes, looking for Quelea nesting colonies. We found one colony that contained between five and ten million birds, which I marked with TP streamers (used as swath markers in crop dusting) with which I festooned trees at each corner of the colony.
That night, just after dusk, a retired Ethiopian Air Force major flew a DeHavilland Beaver over this now marked colony dispensing "QueleaTox", a poison specific to Quelea. The next morning we landed at the colony and did a mortality count to estimate the effectiveness of the QueleaTox. In most operations, bird mortality was 75-80%.
Ome day I asked one of the ornithologist, "You've spent you life studying birds. Now you're being paid to kill millions. Do you find that difficult?"
His reply? "If I have to choose between killing birds and thousands of people dying, I'll kill birds."
By the way, that one particular colony would eat a ton of grain each day, totally wiping out a small farmer's crop and leading to hunger, possibly famine and death.
Two ornithologists, two pilots, one bush plane, one Jet Ranger helo, ground support crew for the Beaver and a few thousand gallons of QueleaTox. About the cost of flying one UN bureaucrat to a week-long "Ecology Conference" in Geneva, Singapore, New York, etc.
Put the UN bureaucrats and the Eco-weenies on the ground in Africa for a month, banging drums, flailing sticks and eating roasted locusts. Take a "60 Minutes Investigative Reporting" team with them.
“In Kenya, police are firing machine guns and tear gas into the swarms!”
That’d be a fun job.
