Wow. That is a riveting article. I guess Africa is hopeless.

I am into farm tractors.

In a tractor magazine there was a story a non profit donated 20 tractors and plows etc to an area in Africa with enough spare parts and oil to keep them running for basically years.

Within a year, half the tractors disappeared and the rest were so broken or not taken care of they could not be salvaged. Several of the engines froze up because the oil was never changed or never added to.

I believe only 4 tractors still worked.
