IMO, that is the kiss of death. Blomberg is toast. No leftist will ever support the guy. Remember Megan Kelly from FOX thought she could easily cross over to liberal land and be accepted? Pffft...

Bernie supported Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. He would have supported Stalin but - alas! - he was born a little bit too late.

Actually Bloomberg and Jeb Bush are not all that dissimilar in their positions.

Do a comparison, pretty darn close on most topics.

Bloomberg has been for and against everything and everyone.

He has been a democrat, republican and independent.

He wants to please everyone but pisses off them all instead.

He can’t seem to take a stand on anything.

Little Gulp can take a stand. He hates Trump and we can’t ever have a big soft drink.

It’s somewhat appropriate that a good chunk of the debate was more or less - “why are we debating this Republican; isn’t this the Democratic primary; are we now consolidating the GOP and Democratic Party debates; if so, why?”

I believe I read that the ultraliberal Governor Ralph Northam also backed GWB in 2004.

What I'm afraid of is there might be a significant number of "never Trumper" Republicans that might switch to Little Mike thinking he's a "moderate" Republican.(like Jeb Bush)

If someone were to check, they might find out that Jeb and GW (and a few other governors and such, Kasich, Weld, Nat. Review, ect) might vote this way to thumb their noses at Trump.

He can’t seem to take a stand on anything.

He stands for himself. He's a would-be Napoleon who wants to be emperor.

“He stands for himself.”

Right. He was a Democrat until he decided to run for Mayor.

He saw that the primary field for Democrats was crowded and he had very little chance of winning there, whereas the Republican primary was wide open. So he switched his registration to Republican, ran in the Republican primary, sucked up to Rudy Giuliani whose support he needed, and won.

His former Democrat friends, including the Clinton clan, were very angry with him about his switch - particularly his practice of ingratiating himself with the Republican Party by contributing to Republican politicians in NY State races and supporting George W. Bush.

Then, after Republicans started to lose national influence, Bloomberg decided it would be more advantageous for him to distance himself from the Republicans and he registered as an Independent.

And now he is a Democrat once more.

The only things Bloomberg stands for are money and buying influence.
