WASHINGTON - Attorney General William Barr has told people close to President Donald Trump - inside and outside the White House - that he is considering quitting over Trump's tweets about Justice Department investigations, three administration officials said, foreshadowing a possible confrontation between the president and his attorney general over the independence of the Justice Department.
So far, Trump has defied Barr's requests, both public and private, to keep quiet on matters of federal law enforcement. It was not immediately clear Tuesday whether Barr had made his posture known directly to Trump. The administration officials said Barr seemed to be sharing his position with advisers in hopes that the president would get the message that he should stop weighing in publicly on the Justice Department's ongoing criminal investigations.
"He has his limits," said one person familiar with Barr's thinking, speaking on the condition of anonymity, like others, to discuss internal deliberations.

Possibly because, in retaliation, the rats could expose nasty stuff about the repubs.
The bad stuff runs deep on both sides.
Saw a quick bit on Fox News saying that Barr said he has no plans to resign.
Barr going on ABC Fake News was worse than any of Trump’s tweets.
There aren’t going to be any indictments.
McCabe was the easiest fish to fry.
They declined.
Kabuki is great this year!
If he didn't regularly make ‘end runs’ around the arrogant incompetent media, his presidency would not be nearly as effective as it has been.
Most ‘never Trumper’s’ are part of the pathetically inept government hierarchy that exemplify why we should never have a ‘political class’. None of us need any input from pathetically out of touch, ineffective, unimpressive people like Romney or Jeb, or Kristol etc.
Barr is only building resentment like a woman who long decided to quit on the job while on the job but had to build a list of reasons to do so while on the job.
These people are so pathetic. What a girly man excuse of an idiot.
“three administration officials said” = anonymous rumors = fake news ...
and took FOUR “journalists” to write this garbage ...
the more fake sources and the more “journalists” it takes to fabricate a fake news article, the more fake you know it is ...
Agree
He sure is. That was his whole mission, deep stating.
He perfectly knew Trunp was a Twitter before going in, just like a military spouse perfectly knows about the deployment
Who the heck this piece of sht think he is fooling?
President Trump sure is a lucky guy.
He fumbled and stumbled like a blind man but luck made him the president.
So here today we demonstrate that he has many astute advisers and if he would only follow their advice, he might yet be able to accomplish something as president.
“OK, FReepers, like trained dogs, start barking and running around in hysterical circles because Drudge posts some unsourced BuLLCRAP!”
sigh ... unfortunately, that’s totally true ... i can’t tell if FR is infested with trolls or fools ... or maybe both ...
B.S. Fake news.
I agree Barr should not have gone on ABC..! But I still feel like Laura, it would be best when there is a ongoing investigation to withhold some of the comments.

Some are saying that it wouldnt hurt for Trump to lay off Tweeting...
I say, It wouldnt hurt if Barr made a single Indictment.
Meanwhile, theyre looking into Indicting Guiliani!
Theres no proof theres an ongoing Investigation.
The fact pattern is not good.
.
Notice swamp rat mouthpiece Drudge is breaking the story for the Deep state? Fox too I heard. Disgusting! I cant believe how panicked they are!
Frankly it seems like Barr is pissed that Trump forced him to TRY to stop Stone from going to jail for life and he threw a wrench in the works by complaining publically that he felt pressured ... which it seems is working as the judge looks to be ready to roll with the original horrible sentence Barr's DOJ recommended (and yes, it's his. Not buying "they lied to me, I had no idea, I'd have NEVER signed off on this ... but Trump shouldn't have tweeted about it, that made me mad" sob story.
