There’s a lot of people who said they would vote for him that didn’t know about his hubby. and stray way. So this is good to do battle. He will LOSE a lot of votes that he had...before they knew.

When I was learning to read “gay” was one of my favorite words because it was so happy.

Limbaugh was giving his opinion on how voters would react to a gay candidate, especially one who is married to another man. He may be right, he may be wrong, but he wasn’t criticizing Pete’s sexual orientation, so there is really nothing for the left to be offended by. Of course, leftists will take any opportunity to twist words and play the victim.
Homosexuality was rightfully considered deviant behavior and the practitioners of it were known as deviants up to about twenty years ago, an attitude that spanned back thousands of years of Western Judaeo-Christian civilization.
Then, by mere MSM, entertainment, and educational decree, the reverse was announced.
Now, all of a sudden, they are supposed to be on an equal, if not higher, moral plane.
No, the American people are not ready to stomach seeing their president married to a man.

Personally, I think 40+% of the voters have been trained to clap like circus seals for any "first", so that won't be the main issue for Mayor Pete.... his age, lack of experience, inability to answer questions on race, lack of real-world work experience (2 years as a consultant hardly prepares one to lead the Free World), and the support for some very unwise Leftist ideas (packing the Supreme Court to 15 justices, the Green New Deal, his "glide path" to single payer health insurance, etc) will be what voters care about more. (Almost half of voters have been trained to clap like circus seals for those as well, but the crucial Undecideds are not likely to make all of those big jumps at once, with a too-young mayor of a small college city.)
