Eight planes at Heathrow Airport were grounded this morning after passengers complained of coronavirus symptoms. Passengers on a United Airlines flight from San Francisco were told to stay put after landing because someone on board may have caught the deadly flu-like disease. The captain reportedly warned they could be stuck on the tarmac for some time as the alarm had been raised on ‘seven other planes’.

Virus can survive 9 days on a surface. Longer if cool or humid.

Good luck getting it out of fabric or ventilation system.

So who “raised the alarm”?

And what exactly is this alarm?

Jet airliners are now the biggest carriers/vectors in transporting viruses and bacteria from point A to point Z and everything in between.

This is sane and rational by the UK.

Any plane from anywhere with a sick passenger should be thoroughly checked out.

Test everyone upon arrival.

Huge Asian population and Asia hub for San Franshito inbound flights with connections all over the country. It could just be panic / hysteria false alarm amongst passengers. MUCH more to come.

So I guess it’s a good thing that used car sales are not allowed in China. I used to think it was crazy, but not anymore.

I’m guessing the flight attendants raised the alarm to the pilots.

The San Francisco flight was told mid air that they might have a coronavirus on board.

I have said before that all planes should be handing out masks and goggles to every passenger. I wonder if they at least have them on the plane for cases like this. I bet not.

Other than an ER I would think a 13 hour flight would be best place to catch a bug.

Every panoramas someone infected on it or has the virus all over its surfaces. Air travel should have been stopped 30 days ago. There’s no stopping it now. It will have to run its course world wide now. Political correctness and common sense cannot coexist as we are about to find out.

And the other 50% of them apparently jumped on cruise ships.

… travellers [on the plane] had been asked to fill in a form before workers in hazmat suits came to clean the vehicle.

Ah yes, the paperwork. That will stop the bug!
